Truly an amazing book
Note To Self is pure, honest, and beautiful. With chapters about topics ranging from breakups, to depression, to Connors happy place, matched with poems and images, this book is a true work of art and a roller coaster of emotions. I was crying and laughing at every chapter, and I could easily tell that every word on the page came straight from Connors heart. I could connect to it and it made me FEEL. The book is aethstetically pleasing and gorgeous, which completely matches the beautiful and pure writing hidden inside the covers. It has truly touching and honest stories about Connors personal life. This book has Connors heart and soul poured into it and it is a truly amazing book and a work of art.

Very impactful and inspiring.
Connor's sophomore novel, Note to Self really hit home for me in many ways. I was crying on page 5 and sobbing at page 160 because of how real Connor made this book. It was just like having a conversation with him. It was impactful yet full of Connor's witty sense of humor! Poems break up the chapters as well as Connor's own photography. I'm in my early 20s and feeling a lot especially with mental health and this book really helped me see that I'm not alone.I highly HIGHLY recommend this book, it's one of my new favorites. I read it in 24 hours.

So proud of this boy <3
I waited three months for this book and it certainly did not disappoint. I've been following Connor Franta since I first discovered one of his videos in early 2013. I am so proud of all that he has accomplished and all that he has yet to accomplish. He has become someone I have looked up to for his vulnerability and passion. This book is definitely one I will be rereading for whenever I need some kind of pick me up. Though not everything in it applies to my life, I love how raw it was at moments. Connor wrote this for himself and how lucky are we, the readers, to be able to temporarily step into what goes through his mind. This book helped to remind me that I'm not alone in thinking the way I do. This book could not have come at a more perfect time in my life. I'm 20, almost 21 and Connor helped me to remember it's okay if I don't have everything figured out yet.Connor, if you're somehow reading this review, I simply want to say thank you. Thank you for opening up your life just a little bit more so we can selfishly (:P) benefit from it. Love you! Keep on doing you! <33

connor franta is an amazing author & human being
Note to Self i have always loved connor ever since i've watched my first yt vid of his in 2014 and he NEVER disappoints. his photography, his words, his smile, his laugh, everything in this book took a lot out of him but it's been all for a good cause. little does he know how happy he makes me with the little & big things he does. i am so proud of him, words are indescribable. he understands what it's like to go through hardships and etc. he too has them, he is also putting a point across where nobody is perfect and that it's okay to be sad sometimes. this book has honestly opened my eyes and helped me in so many different ways, it's insane. // connor, if you see this, just know youre absolutely amazing & you deserve all the happiness in this world. i am of many who want you to receive all of it because you mean everything & more to me and the rest of your fans :). i love you so much, thank you for everything 💛 (twitter: angelicatenuta)

An Open Journal
This book is like taking a look at someone's personal journal about their life with a dab of self-help added. Some of the topics might not resonate with people who are a bit older (I take that in the editing process, some of his essays were tiered toward his younger audience). A few of the topics covered in this book are: depression, self-hatred, sexuality, break ups, media consumption. It can be self-indulgent at times (Connor does state that the book is for himself in the dedication, so that's kind of a given), but you can find yourself in these pages because of the universal topics. It's nice how self-aware he is so even when it does dip into being self-indulgent, you can still appreciate what he is doing by sharing very intimate thoughts.Even though Connor is a beginner when it comes to writing poetry, a lot of the poems are very nice and I found myself enjoying them more than I thought I would. Also, the photographs are beautiful. The actual physicality of the book is gorgeous, it's a very visually appealing book. The books shines most when dealing with the topics of depression, sexuality, and heartbreak. Something that really stood out to me is that there are passages that were clearly written in a heightened emotional state (much like a stream of consciousness) and instead of cleaning it up, he left his raw emotions on the page. We all experience situations where our emotions get the best of us, but normally we don't share our irrational thoughts. Here Connor does and it's wonderfully vulnerable and honest. Overall this is a very nice, quick, and easy read that I will probably reach for again.

Must read
I feel as if this is the book I should have written. And I’m glad there is someone out there I can relate to. Everything written in the book resonated with me, there were some emotional moments that left me in tears cause I felt and understood what he was going through. I honestly read this book as if I had written this to myself. A must read.

Great book to relate to
I speed read this book so fast I didn't even took down any progress. This book is so incredible I don't even have words. I cried at some parts of the book because I could relate. I highlighted parts where he gave me tons of advice that I am to make sure to write down to post on my wall. Its like he knew what I think about from time to time, but don't know how to make words of it. He made me know more about myself within the book. It made me wanna have more self confidence and let go of all worry and strive for the better and fight the worst. I loved the pictures within this story it gave a good vibe and just made them book seem even more beautiful. The poems were amazing also. I highly recommend this read.

Beautiful book - must read
Beautiful book by Connor. Amazing photographs and poetry, heartfelt story and a must read whether you're a fan of the author or not. This book is filled with emotions and I'd highly recommend it. Note To Self is much more is depth than A Work In Progress.
