Fisher Space Pen Clutch Space Pen, Ballpoint, Black Ink, Pocket Clip, Gift Box

I am a pen nerd (those that are know exactly what I mean). This pen is five stars if you have a glove on and need to grasp a substantial pen to write with and will not be afraid to drop it, etc. I could imagine this being an excellent pen in the winter where you can write with it without taking off you glove in cold weather. Also, the space pen cartridge will work in any weather condition and you can read all the reviews on the ink, etc. This pen is not comfortable to write with a bare hand. I wish it were, but it is not, at least for me. The hexagon section is too large in diameter and quickly fatigues my hand. I am giving this pen 5 stars because it is advertised as a working pen for gloved folks. Finally, the quality is just outstanding for the following: (a) All metal construction and as far as I can tell both inside and out, (b) the spring is held in the bottom part you unscrew to put in a new cartridge so you will not lose it, (c) the threaded parts are all steel and look like they are machined from the base material and not press fit....very impressive, (d) the part to unscrew is knurled which is a blessing if your grip is not the best for whatever reason, (e) the clip is just outstanding, maybe the best I have ever seen in such a pen; very heavy duty steel but not to thick - this clip will hold up, (f) it is a space pen so the refills are top notch and I would recommend medium or fine, and (g) this is probably as strong as my tactical pen.Overall, very satisfied and this will be my cold weather pen or when I fly since it provides protection as well. Excellent value and made in the USA - both important to me. Also thanks to Amazon for making it a prime item.

The more I use this pen, the more I like it, and the less I mind its price. It is very comfortable for me to hold and it writes consistently well. Someone commented that it is slippery to hold when writing, but I find that not to be the case, with a knurled ring near the point plus flattened areas for great grip. I think it's a good weight, feeling substantial without being overly heavy. Like I said, the more I use this pen, the more I like it.

I have had Fisher pens before. The one I had was getting old and I decided to get a new pen, not just a refill. This is awesome! Some of the surfaces I need to write on are pretty rough, but this pen does it all. Expensive? Yes, but so worth it for me. If you really need a really good pen. This is it! FIVE STARS!

I took this pen on my first international flight where I got to use it quite a bit. This thing is truly a workhorse! Excellent high durability craftsmanship and the ink cartridge is easily on of the best I've seen in a pen. The overall shape and polygonal body of the pen allows for a good and comfortable grip as you write, and the clicker is addicting for fidget use. This could also be a very serviceable, low profile "tactical pen" if that's the sort of thing you're looking for.

Order was delivered in a timely fashion, pen is an every-day users. seems to take the battle of every-day pen life with confidence. No complaints, solid pen I expect to last many years.

The reason that I purchased this pen was to use on a shopping list that we keep on the refrigerator. Past pens that we used would not write until after several strokes with the pen in a vertical point down position, to prime the roller ball. This pen requires the same priming except it doesn’t have to be held vertical to do so. Once it starts to write, the ink flow is light resulting in pale impressions. I am used to a gel pen, so this is a big let down.The pen itself is solidly built. I think you could probably drive a truck over it and not damage it. I saw several posts about it getting stuck in the extended position. This is an apparent undocumented feature. The button that extends the filler can be rotated clockwise once the filler is extended to lock the pen in the extended position. Rotating it anticlockwise will unlock it and allow it to be retracted.All in all, it’s a well made pen, but I wouldn’t spend $50 on it again.
