Quality, Style, Value all considered.
This is an overall quality/style/value review. If you've had other folding reading glasses, you have probably dealt with those that were pretty flimsy, and/or overly small. Where the company traded quality materials and style to give you something small-ish. That's not the case here.Quality: These feel sturdy with substance instead of very light weight metals. The screws seem to be doing a solid job as opposed to just a pivot point for everything to just swing around freely. In fact, I kind of hope they loosen up a little but with time, but I like that they hold together so well.Style: My biggest complaint with other folding glasses is that they don't look like regular glasses. Some are so narrow that it's hard to focus you eyes on the actual glasses. Once unfolded, these look like full glasses. Maybe a little closer to reading glasses, but I can wear them up close OR down on my nose. Either is comfortable and allows me to read easily.Value: 15 bucks for 2 pair? Seriously, you probably have a pretty low expectation for what these will be at that price. Since I only wear glasses for reading, I have bought more than my share of Walmart glasses to keep around the house, and these are better than any of those I have bought. These are my "going out" readers. Something my wife will keep in her purse (size), and I'm not embarrassed to wear in public (style). That's good value in my book.As with any folding glasses, i can't imaging they are made for heavy use. Any thing with moving parts has a limited lifespan. The more you move those parts, the more wear on the screws/joints. However, as occasional readers, they are great. I will use these for menus eating out, and great travelers away from home. I'll keep my real cheapies for every day reading around the house.

Just what I needed
My vision is OK. But I started to struggle reading small letters or regular size letters on in poor lit places or the tab when paying at the restaurant. These glasses are perfect!, the folding mechanism is well thought and the materials are strong/ well constructed. They are super practical to carry and use. Unlike competitors offering pen case glasses (I have them), these do not fall when wearing them, and the belt case makes them the perfect solution for my needs. The only complain I had wasn't with the quality of the product, rather I received the wrong specs, but contacted the vendor and they were courteous and quick on replacing the items with the correct specifications.Highly recommend vendor and product if you are looking for a practical easy to use glasses for brief reading.Disclaimer: I do not recommend using them all day as they have same augmentation on both eyes and your eyes might require different augmentation each. Please see your ophthalmologist/ optician if you need /plan to use glasses for longer periods (and not just for quick reading). What is meant for use some minutes a day could adversely affect you in the long term if you use longer times than intended.

Wasn't hoping for much but pleasantly surprised.
Ever since I had Cataract surgery I've been trying to find a decent pair of reading glasses. I have purchased three different brands here at Amazon and in all honesty they all seem to work the way they are supposed to. No real problems with any of them except the way they seem to get so smudged and foggy. I suppose it's because the optics are plastic instead of glass. One thing that has bothered me since wearing reading glasses is it never seems that I have them when I leave the house. I'm always forgetting them. Even when I remember them the cases they come with are bulky or difficult to open. Since I only need the glasses for reading I find it rather irritating that I usually forget them when I'm out or the bulking cases that I have to pocket. I wasn't really looking for any new glasses but somehow these folders came up in my Amazon suggestion page. After looking the description over and reading a few reviews I decided to order the two pair. For the price I wasn't expecting too much and would wind up in the drawer with the others I'm using. Sure enough they arrived and from the way they were boxed in stapled cardboard I wasn't hoping for much. Once opened you find two pouches one black and the other brown which take on the appearance of leather but are anything but with a belt loop on the back I guess for convenience. I don't know how convenient as when I tried to test how strong the loop was it pulled away from the case making it useless for what it was designed. Luckily that's the only flaw I could find. The glasses themselves are fine. Well better than fine they're pretty good. I'm quite impressed with the design and found them easy to unfold to the full open position. They are pretty sturdy and I had very little problem folding them back to put back in the case. One surprising feature is that the optics seem to be a better quality than the others I've purchased. They actually appear to be made of glass but they claim it to be in the description and I have yet to find any of the previous purchases to be either. They fit a bit snug on my head which I like and the nose piece fits comfortable. The are half readers which is another feature I enjoy. I work on different computers from a full desktop system to an Ultrabook to a tablet and a phone and being half readers it makes it much easier to look over the top without removing them completely. I'm not going to guarantee that the optics seem better than the others I own but they seem to be clearer for some reason. They seem to stay cleaner than the others I own as well. Once folded they fit easily into my shirt pocket with ease. I'm fully satisfied with the glasses and I've no problem recommending them. Of course only time will tell how well they hold up with use but so far I'm almost completely satisfied. I say almost completely satisfied because the cases that come along with the glasses though a great idea are flimsy. Both cases have proved problematic. One case the belt loop pulled away and the other case doesn't close completely with the latch. Fortunately I found a couple of little satin bags I've substituted temporarily until I can find something more protective.
