Best Fitness Purchase Ever!
Let me be honest, I did not follow this book to the letter. I did follow the basic meal plan. However, I did not do the super sets and I only used the book the days I wasn't going to the gym.I frankly got a much better workout with the book than the gym, for all the normal reasons associated with free weights. Worked muscles I didn't know I had, left me feeling empowered and exhausted.Do the body fat measurements when you start, honestly it will kick your butt into gear. I only took my measurements once or twice because frankly I was so happy with the results I couldn't care less about what the number read. I felt strong, I developed lean muscles (I made people poke my stomach the day I realized it wasn't just flab anymore). I went from a BMI of 22.5 to 19.8, 2-3 pant sizes. Love handles nearly completely disappeared by the time I put on my bikini, my arms no longer jiggled and my butt? Hello again to mini skirts and shorts.I recommend this book to all of my friends and make my gym buddy do the moves with me at the gym. I've bought plenty of books before and after this one and this is the only one I ever go to.****Update 2011****I got this book over five years ago now. It got me in great shape, I'm not still in GREAT shape, but decent and part of that is probably because of this book. It's the one thing I ALWAYS go back to, the one book I ALWAYS recommend to overs (and have given to others). The diet plan is easy to handle and the workouts are easy to follow. I STILL love this book.

Everything you need without the extra rambling
I'm a Glam and Gore fan and that is how I heard about Steve Zims books. I used to be quite strong and fit but I got ill and was unable to exercise and gained 50 pounds. Now I have my health back and looking for a way to regain my strength, self esteem, and some control over my body. Got the book yesterday and gone over it cover to cover. It is short, sweet, and to the point about how to achieve results. With menus, tables, and exercise programs for men/women catered to their body types. Its not a dull read and doesn't give you a rambling, useless information/stories that have nothing to do with why you bought the book. I appreciate the compact and easy to understand way this is delivered. I also ordered his book "superhero nutrition". Can't wait to read it and get started on my journey. Having read many exercise books, I have high hopes for this program.

It's not for me, but hey, maybe it's for you???
I found this guy after watching a few youtube vids he was featured in. A few were people that he trained in his gym ie; weightloss transformation and one was a google talk he did. Here's the deal. The guy has great info to offer with regards to lifting, mind to muscle connection, technique, etc. I did NOT learn it however in this book. I learned it from the video of a talk he gave at Google which was recorded and the other vids on Youtube. IMO, This book is kind just a basic lifting/excercise guide in regards to form and some good routine suggestions. A few things that really bugged my personally; It advertises itself as a book that offers routines which require no gym, then shows several workouts in which gym machines are required and no alternatives are offered. Yes, I know that I can address those muscle groups in different approaches, but I had to find that out by researching it in other avenues. Also, the nutritional info in here is very bizarre. No actual 'math' used in terms of suggesting how a person measures quantities ingested, just some thing about your meat portion being in relation to parts of your hand/palm size... I understand the concept, but really, c'mon... every body, depending of what the goals and tolerances are requires very different amounts of food. I guess this is a starting point for someone on their journey to figuring out what their personal needs are. Ultimately, I just found this book to be kinda gimmicky (the whole Celebrity Body bullcrap) and the nutrition guidance was just....weird. If you're looking for info about form, lifting, technique, mind to muscle connection...there's others on the market that are better, imo. I'm sure someone at the thrift store I donated it to will be stoked.

Good product for weight lose and healthier you.
Love it. It works great for me and my wife. It’s the go to “recipe” when I need to lose weight. His recommendations are perfect for me. Intermittent fasting (IF) doesn’t work for me. I just gain more weight and suffer before my next feed. This way is more like the keto diet for two weeks and then healthy but delicious eating including exercise regimens. Lost 10 pounds right away in 2 weeks. Used the 2 week initiation diet and the other recommendations to come in 2nd for the biggest loser challenge at work although I think I should have been first. I think my boss cheated on the scale by filling up with water and food before 1st weigh in. Now I know better. This works for me. I lose weight fast and I don’t ever go hungry. Plus my blood work went from bad to excellent.

Fun and easy read
Much common sense advice, but really appreciate his focus on symmetry and lengthening instead of generic exercises. Kindle page numbers didn't align with references, but not unusual for kindle.

awesome
This is a fantastic workout, easy to do at home, RESULTS! I still need to lose weight but this is shaping me. Even for someone (a lady) with larger arms, the light weights and the way you do them creates a shapeliness that gives the illusion of much slimmer arms. I am soooo happy. It's easy to follow. I highly recommend this, and sticking with it! Eventually (may take a while if you're overweight - longer than six weeks for sure...lol!!) ...but eventually... it is worth working for. After 6 months, my whole shape is much much lovelier. I am still working on the slimming part (cardio and eating) but this book has ideas for those things in it as well if you want to follow them.

Outdated
Das Buch ist schon älter und nicht mehr an den aktuellen Trends dran. Die Diät ist sehr restriktiv. Die Übungen sind aber cool.

Success! reset my metabolism!
I was trying to decide between this book and Hot Point Fitness and i'm so glad that i bought this book. For more than 6 years, I was a person who could NEVER lose weight, i always stayed at 166lbs (I am a 5"2 woman). I always ate healthy for most of my meals and I always hated sugar and drinks (any drinks, like pop) and I stayed active 5+ days per week but I was always a 166lbs short obese woman. This book was my last resort after the doctor told me about my cholesterol and it was exactly what i wanted. it outlined everything that i was going through but, i could restart my metabolism with the first 2 weeks. I lost 10lbs within that 2 weeks, but what mattered was that i could ACTUALLY lose weight. I thought it was impossible. personally, i didn't have time to read through a lot of details and this book was short and to the point. perfect. i mostly recommend this book for people who can keep a routine down of lean meats and veggies but you can definitely improvise with seasonings. a few exercises were commonly known but there were a few that i've never seen/heard of before in the gym (and i often went to the gym, even before this book) but the book described what people (aka. me) do wrong with cardio and strength so i highly recommend it for anyone to lose weight fast.

Specific information, lot of motivation, nice exercises
I was looking for ways to loose weight. And this book gave me all motivation and techniques to do that. It's a first time in my life I enjoy running and I do that for few months now when I used to drop after few times. Highly recommend. It has one minus though. If you want to change your eating habits that would let you do loose your weight as well you should buy his nutrition hero because in this book it's not completely true.

Obsolete teachings
Obsolete information found in this book regarding the way of eating. Nowadays the popular way of eating is Intermittent Fasting with 2 maximum 3 meals a day. On the contrary, the book of Steve Zim demands people to eat 6-7 times a day without considering the fact that every time someone eats, there's a spike of Insulin. From my point of view, the book is obsolete and has no information regarding modern ways of losing fat like Intermittent Fasting, Keto or Paleo.
