You have to be very careful to slice sideways coming up from under water or it can feel like your middle finger is going to break! As well, God help anyone else in the lane! These things are massive! Luckily, I nearly always have a lane to myself. They do move a person right along!

Frankly, I'm a bit of a swimming accessories freak, and it's really hard for me to resist trying out all those new and interesting offerings that TYR, Zoggs, Speedo, Arena and other companies keep bringing out, to lure us, mediocre recreational swimmers, into believing that perhaps this particular new toy is finally gonna make a difference and bring out all those hidden swimming potentials that must be lurking somewhere inside us. Well, while this paddle didn't (yet) turn me into a new Phelps, it's definitely one of the best designs that I ever tried. Great especially for front crawl, but also good for breaststroke (can't speak for other two styles, as I don't do them). However, do be really careful to select the right size of finger-opening, and don't trust entirely the perforated holes on the packaging, that are supposed to help with sizing! Also, don't think that FINIS has some kind of uniform "dot" sizing across all their paddles. I have their "two-dots" ISO paddles, and they fit my fingers perfectly, so, naturally I ordered same sized Mantas. Well, I could hardly squeeze my fingers through two-dot Mantas, and had to order "three-dot" ones!
