The media could not be loaded. It’s perfect! It’s super quiet (mine is fully submerged) so the babies aren’t scared of it…they actually like to swim against the water current, it’s cute! It does a great job. I clean the tank only once a week now. They’re happy, I’m happy, it’s awesome! Great buy!

I'm rating this 3 stars not as a reflection of my own experience with it, but that its description doesn't match the product. It's not a functional filter by any means, closer in function to the moving water dishes you can buy for cats. Pretty much exactly that, in fact. It has the same style motor which you can buy individually for around $7. That said, I wasn't buying this to specifically act as a filter, more to keep water from getting stagnant in my tomato frog's 1.5" water bowl (they can't swim, otherwise it would be deeper.) It's great for that! I took the motor out of its housing since it's frankly quite ugly and unnecessarily large, rubber banded the sponge to the intake to prevent it from getting clogged as quickly (you can just rinse it off then), and it works like a charm. It bubbles quietly in the background which I think adds quite a pleasing ambiance to her miniature rainforest. Froggy jacuzzi!

It works fine but it's only good for light duty not a heavy duty like a constantly getting dirty tank

I got this along with the tank for my red ear slider turtle. But sadly it is ineffective, it’s too small to help keep your tank clean. I ended up returning, was not worth a buy.

This pump is made with great quality and very easy to clean. My turtle 🐢Angel T loves it too.

Barely worked, suction wasn’t all that good when in the white plastic and ended up taking it apart
