After a little tuning it runs great out of the box I replaced an edlebrock 1406 carb with this on my 79 400sbc and it runs like a new truck. for how easy it is to install, the only thing to note is it doesn't have an air cleaner stud and the mixture screws on the base plate are a little hard to get to but that is mostly me not having a short enough flat head screwdriver, for the price and ease of installation it worth the cost

Casting flaw in base plate. Did not see until we spent months trying everything to get it to run right. Took carb off and noticed a casting flaw. This flaw has the media blast marks so this was done prior to finish/milling of the unit. Secondary air flap spring was broken needed to disassemble and reinstall spring. Quality control is lacking. Sent numerous messages through Amazon to get resolved and no response. Just want a new one or refund.

This is a very nice product- better than a rebuilt…. I was surprised…. It only required , minor, adjusting with the electric choke setting and the high idol…. Which is located on the opposite side of the regular idle screw.. This would be standard adjustments required on any new carburetor… I also believe they have contact information to help you solve these minor issues - if they arise…… take a deep breath and ask grandpa to help……. Or the neighbor ….

Worked no problem right out of the box. There's a little play in the arm from the choke to the choke valve resulting in the valve not fully opening. It's like 95% open, but not 100%. I tried adjusting the arm to it's max but there's still a bit of play. The carb I took off did not have this play. It's an easy fix, if the carb is on the bench. I just don't feel like taking it back off the truck, but I'd say check that play, if it's there, fix it before you install it.

This carbeurator has worked well on my 1985 Chevy 350 motorhome. It just idles smooth. Better gas mileage.

Put this carb on my 1986 chevy C10 with a 350, lasted 100 miles and then broke leaking gas out of everything. I knew right away as I pulled it out the box it was a bad carb. Its basically a Rochester Quadrajet rip off. I should have just bought a real rebuilt Rochester off of JEGS or Summit. Do not buy this carb for all you car guys out there I know the price looks good but the quality just isn't there.
