I use a lot of fresh garlic. I thought this would solve my problem of having to wear gloves while chopping. I am not very happy with this purchase. It does not hold a whole clove, you need to cut it in half in order for it to fit. You still have to peel it as well. Some reviews stated that this is not the case, but unless you want garlic skins in your food, you do have to peel them first. I figure if I have to peel it, I might as well chop it too. I haven't given up on it, as I plan to use it again very soon. It may be that I just haven't given it a fair chance yet, we will see.

I take some responsibility here so I added a star, but this is not a good product for someone without a dishwasher, even then you might have some garlic stuck in the crevices. The cleaning tool is a good idea, not so great in practice. I would probably use this if I were processing a lot of garlic, say a whole bulb, but for a few cloves at a time, stick with a knife, it's easier to clean too.

The mincer is just okay, but the slicer is what sets this gadget apart. I like my garlic to have a presence in the food I cook, so I'm happy to have slices instead of mush. (Same for ginger.) Slices that don't just drop into the bowl or pot are easily pulled out, leaving no waste to ream out after. I just finished slicing a whole container of skinned cloves into a jar, covered them with oil, and stored them in the fridge for future use. Start to cleaned: 5 minutes!

This is a great combo tool. Many times I want garlic sliced and minced and this does both for you. I would prefer if the slices of garlic came out a tiny bit thinner but it works just fine. I don't think I'd buy a regular garlic press again after using this one.

it's a good press and slicer, but i like the stainless presses instead.the press and slicer work, but u need to align it each time you squeeze which slows you down. it is also a bit difficult to clean.overall, still a decent product and saves you time.

Have gone to more natural cooking for a couple of reasons and fresh garlic is a big part of my new regimen. This dual tool is wonderful for getting my garlic sliced or minced/pressed and into a recipe in no time flat. Love it!

Oh. My. Goodness.Get this if you like garlic in your food. It will save you so much time, you will end up eating much more garlic. And you will completely avoid garlic smell fingers.The little cleaning tool is quite sneakily tucked into the handle on the inside so you won't lose it but it doesn't get in the way either. Quality seems good and it is fairly easy to clean. Treat it well and it should last you a good long time.

Exactly what I wanted :) Like having the black plastic cleaning tool to take out little pieces of garlic in the garlic press part. If you use garlic often when cooking, this item should be a plus in your kitchen! I like having thin slices of garlic when having meat (steak, BBQ, Korean style pork belly, etc.); It was a bit of hassle to slice small garlics with a knife. Now, with this tool, I can prepare garlic slices easily!
