Pandora Strikes Again!
This was an awesome book! It's a 2-day read, it moves along at a fast pace, no dull moments, and you will devour it.Nero, aka Colonel Sexy Pants, has it bad for Leda. And everyone knows it but Leda, until the very end when they come back from a harrowing mission in which they both could have easily died. And Leda has it bad for Nero, she just doesn't want to believe that it won't get in the way of her end game... saving her brother Zane.Leda's heroics have her saving Colonel Sexy Pants's life, being openly recognized by Nyx (The First Angel), and actually making friends with one of the Angel Brats in this book. AND she and Jace, the only Angel Brat to receive the second gift of the gods with her, are integral at finding out who is behind the poisoning & bombings set to kill supernaturals. It all points to the witches, as only the witches can make those special plants for the poisons. Leda's sister, Bella, is enrolled at that witch university. She's been told several times to trust no one. Surely she can trust her sister. Right?Leda's internal struggles are all over her mind for anyone with the Vampire Kiss gift to hear. Nero evidently has already told "upper management" that he plans to be her lover. Leda is the last to know, of course. Ivy gets all the dirt from her boyfriend Soren, a sexy higher officer in the League of Angels. In the end, a question of Leda's parentage comes up. She was an orphan, remember? Or is there something else that makes her very special. Nyx notices and I can see her digging deeper into Leda's past in the next book, Siren's Song... which happened to download just about 2 hours ago onto my Kindle! So excited!!!READ THE BOOKS! Absolutely no regrets getting lost in this series!

I will be ordering the next
So Leda has reached level one in the Legion of Angels and has gotten the Vampire's Kiss but is training hard to get to the next level. Nero is giving her extra training and tongues are wagging about Leda and the handsome angel. But even when Leda feels attracted to Nero, she knows he will only break her heart and she has to keep her focus on raising to the ninth level so save her brother.Early in the book Leda is promoted to the second level and receives witch power. This so she can assist Nero in a search who is poisoning and killing in the city. Leda is quite resourceful and a snoop so she can't resist a little sleuthing on her own.I am totally into this series as I like the smoldering between Leda and Nero and the story as a whole. I do feel we are missing in depth information about all the levels and powers. Everything feels quite on the surface info to me. I also really dislike the Legion as they are cruel and care nothing about the people who apply to be a soldier for them. The dying rate is enormous so it feels a bit strange they do care about the death of citizens while caring nothing at all about their initiates. Another thing that bothers me is that Nero is supposed to be an angel with great powers but in this book Leda saves his life a second time.Alas, the series does have a hold on me so I will be ordering the next.

Leda and Nero are back and things are heating up!
Leda and Nero are back in the second entry of the Legion series and things are getting interesting!Something is afoot in the paranormal community and Nyx, First Angel, has charged Nero and Leda to discover what’s going on. Shifters and vampires are being poisoned and dying in large numbers. All roads lead back to the witch community, but to what gain?On the relationship side, Leda and Nero are heating up in the chemistry department! Ooolalala, lol... Nero’s feelings were deeper than I expected and I was highly entertained by his way of clearing the path of any possible competition, much to Leda’s consternation! Leda has always worn her feelings on her sleeve and is fighting a losing battle where Nero is concerned. I love how Leda speaks her mind, even when she she shouldn’t. I also enjoy how it makes things sort of level between her and Nero. Nero’s confusion over Leda’s headstrong actions makes me grin, especially because he can’t rationalize her actions because she won’t adhere to the rigid rules he lives his life by.If book one was good, book two was really good! I’m enjoying the world Summers has created with the various paranormal communities, the fight between gods and demons, humans and paranormals. I like how the hierarchy of the Legion achieves unique succession to levels of achievement and the no guarantees rule. It keeps things fresh and interesting for sure! I can’t wait to get into book three!

mystery time
It was faster, I thought. A single mystery to uncover, which I guess should be great because it’s less training and more “who done it” with a sprinkle of “tehe” when it comes to our favorite angel and heroine. The writing is good. A little slower considering she was in her head a lot and more things were drawn out in explanations and new parts of the world.

Great book!
Another fantastic book in this series. This book was full of action and had an interesting mystery. There were also sweet moments between Leda and Nero. Their relationship is coming along and advancing further. I can’t wait to read the next book for her advancement to the next level and see how their relationship progresses. This is a great series so far and I highly recommend this book. Very exciting, easy read with no angst.

Level 2 and one step closer to finding her brother
Nero's humanity is showing more and more and I love it. I just love seeing his swee/tendert side, however brief it is. Leda and Nero seem to be getting closer but she refuses to take it any further because she doesn't want her heartbroken which seems inevitable when it comes to dating an angel. Since Leda seems to be on the fast track to moving up the levels she has caught the eye of Nyx the first angel and is sent on a mission to uncover what the witches are hiding. While trying to track the person responsible for the attacks against supernaturals Nero and Leda end up using some of her bounty hunting ways to track them down and they end up on an all night party ship that takes a turn for the worst.

I need more of this awesome series please
Oh my am I loving this series! This is the second book in the Legion of Angels series by Ella Summers and its even better than the first. Our main character, Leda, is funny and sassy, brave and emotional. She is a great character that makes you laugh out loud at moments and then have your heart in your mouth with worry about what she will do next. I can't wait to find out more about her and my only negative about this book is that I wish it were longer. But maybe that's because I'm greedy and just want the whole Legion of Angels story that Ella has in her head right now. I'm torn in that I want there to be lots and lots of books in this series for me to read so it never ends, but then I also want to know what's going to happen, right now! Ah, the life of a book lover.Nero sure is one hot angel. I love that we get to see more of him in this book and that we are slowly learning more about him, although I think it may be a bit like peeling an onion in that he has so many layers to him it will take a while to even get halfway there. The tension between him and Leda is so hot it's sizzling off the pages. However I love how Ella is not rushing it and we are getting a slow build to what I'm sure will be one explosive matching. That's one of my favourite things of a romance, the build up to it.I also love how there is a bit more steampunk in this book from the first. It isn't a book that could be classed as being in the steampunk genre, but there are little bits of the technology and clothing added in here and there which makes the setting of this world interesting.I've really enjoyed this book and I can't wait for the next one in the series. I just hope Ella writes it as fast as she wrote this one as I'm really not a very patient person when it comes to waiting for things I've enjoyed.

Finding books like that these days is a very difficult endeavor
Things are beginning to finally smolder between Leda and Nero! I purchased this book just before finishing the first one. Because who hates being stuck waiting for the next book in an intense series? This second novel in the Legion of Angels series is definitely one that I could not put down. Finding books like that these days is a very difficult endeavor! Our hero Leda is still smart-mouthing her way through the Legion obstacle courses and I am enjoying it in this novel. She gets away with a lot but you can see that Nero genuinely more than tolerates her behavior. Nero is a tough man to crack but I am thoroughly enjoying Leda's attempts to do so. Both of the characters won't seem to budge on their personalities but together they seem to blossom and I can appreciate this effort by the author. Another tidbit that I can wholly appreciate is that the romance is not rushed in this novel. You can see it building up and I hope one day it does burst but for now the witty retorts and innuendo are very well done.Unfortunately the story in this falls a bit short. I was looking forward to a more explosive conclusion but it really didn't end with a bang. Hence a 4 star rating here.I hope the outcome of this novel is building up towards a more dynamic story line. I look forward to reading the next novel and hope that the author can keep us on our toes with Leda and Nero's relationship but also manage to keep the story dramatic and alive.

wonderful
After a brief pause, I started this second book. It’s a such delightful, funny and action-packed story that it became almost a non-stop reading. Leda, Nero and their friends and family are great characters, perfectly designed by this great author.

Thoroughly enjoyed it.
A good solid read. I'm not usually one for the books that have high levels of romantic tensions, but in spite of it I liked the book. The main character is sassy, with a tendency to extend the middle finger to authority. I approve. That and I feel she is getting to the point where she'll really be able to prod some buttock. The world she lives in has a good structure that lends a 'believability' as it hangs together logically. Maybe she'll get to kick a God's gluteous maximus. Her and the angel just need to get on!
