Loving this gun rack!
My gun rack arrived yesterday and I couldn't be happier with it. When you look for gun racks anywhere, not just Amazon, a lot of what you find is designed to look primitive, western, or just plain cheesy. I wanted something that was functional, minimal, and adjustable. This fit the bill perfectly. As other reviewers pointed out, the vertical rails do not have screw holes pre-drilled. They are aluminum and any sharp drill bit will punch through in seconds. I pre-drilled with a 3/16 bit in the top and bottom of each rail. I located the stud and screwed in the top, leveled the rail, screwed in the bottom, then put in the remainder of the screws. I used 5 black 2.5" drywall screwed per side and this thing isn't going anywhere. My only gripe, and it's small, is that I wasn't sure how tight to crank down the hooks. It's a friction fit and I wanted it to be tight enough to hold my rifles but not tight enough to damage the rails. In the end, it was a little trial and error and the rifles aren't going anywhere. I'll probably order another one soon. Update: Just put up a second rack and I'm still pleased. I like that the hooks are individually adjustable so that all of the barrels are level. I'm pretty sure it would really annoy me if they weren't.

The final product will look great!
When finished, you'll find the display works wonderfully. However, there's some tools you'll want to use to make the job look professional. 1. The veins don't come pre-drilled (reason for the 4 stars on 'Easy to install'). You'll need to drill them yourself using spacing you deem to be suitable. A table top drill press and a contrasting sharpie color to mark the holes will prove invaluable. 2. Ensure you can find the studs, and I'd suggest sticking to mounting the veins directly into studs vs using an anchor or toggle bolt. Once found, mark them down. 3. For ease of install, I highly suggest a laser level on a tripod. Have your vertical line up with the stud, and your horizontal line as the bottom. Install one vein, then move to the adjacent stud (assuming 16" centers), and mark it, and then mount your next stud using the same method as the first. Provided you've pre-drilled them all, found all the studs, it takes only minutes to screw everything in and get started with the mounting of your fishing rods.

Lightweight, simple, sturdy when mounted
Item came sooner than expected. It's more lightweight than expected but is very sturdy and simple. There's no space for bulky cabinets or protruding wall racks I've seen it ordered and returned. This can also be used for many things. Turned sideways with the sliding hooks can be to hang hats, coats or anything pretty much.

Fantastic rifle rack!
Very strong and well anchored to the wall. I used it in my man cave to hold up 5 rifles each with a scope so overall it is pretty heavy. Took 1/2 hour to install so really pretty easy.. First one I ordered was damaged by the shipper so I emailed and asked about returning. I had a new one in 3 days. Excellent service! I may buy another for the rest of my rifles.

A little lighter material than expected, but works great
The channels are a little thinner than expected, but the ability to slide the mounts where needed is worth it, especially with the Steyr AUG as pictured. The rails do not have holes in them, but I found that simply using some #8 self tapping sheet metal screws would self drill thriugh the rail and go through the drywall to self tap and secure to the metal studs in my backing wall. Note the studs in the wall in the picture are 24” apart, 16” typical stud would be fine for shorter guns like the AUG, going to 32” (skip one stud) would work great for bolt guns, M1 Garand, etc.

Heavy duty!!!
I needed a better solution to keeping my rifles than to have them laying around. After much searching, I came across this and I absolutely love it. It holds: 1 Ruger Precision Rifle .308 1 PTR-91 .308 1 MVP in .223 1 AR-15 (18" barrell ) in .223 1 AR-15 (16" Barrell ) that runs .223 and .22LR (CMMG Bravo adapter) Despite all of that weight - it works like a champ in a hidden place. Note - you WILL need to drill your own holes for this to install. I strongly suggest you fit the arms on it BEFORE affixing it to the wall when installing.

Love the rifle rack................but!
OK why 5 stars when I have so much negative to say? I love the concept of being able to "customize" the rifle rack to the guns that are displayed. Adjusting the angle of the guns to match is ever so easy. The sponge rubber holders adjust very easily by sliding them into place then rotating them until snug. The bad news is the current state of the product. It seems to be unfinished. You have to drill the holes in the two aluminum rails that will be used to attach them to the wall. Sounds easy enough. I used a drill press to drill the eight holes. When I began putting in the screws there were a couple that would not clear the raised rail. If the screws aren't perfectly set they will bind, and it isn't easy to fix the problem. I don't know why the designer isn't addressing the tight configuration of the screws and the rail. How about two more aluminum extrusions mounted to keep the vertical rails parallel?. Why not make it easier to plumb the assembly? Why not predrill the holes? Do it right and you will bring rifle racks into the 21st century from clumsy wooden ones that can't be customized.

Just so so.
First of all, I love hold up displays brand. I have about 9-10 different mount products of theirs and this is the first one I've ever been disappointed with. Rather flimsy, disappointed with the holes not being pre drilled for mounting, and the lip on the tracks got bent during installation when placing several of the screws. It's up, and it's functioning as intended, but I would return this if I hadn't already set it all up.
