I highly recommend this for anyone in a leadership position. There is something new to learn for everyone -- those starting out, those been at it for awhile and maybe feeling the strain, and even for those of you who are seasoned leaders. The writing style is conversational and easy to read.

This was recommended to me to read by a tech manager. It's a good book, very easy to read. However, it sounds somewhat contrived sometimes. It is written as memoirs of a guy getting mentored by an older, wiser guy. The young guy has problems, and the older guy tells him how to solve his problems. The novel format gets tiresome. There's not enough character development for a real novel, and I think I would just prefer the style to be more non-fiction.Great material though. I think it's a good read.

Great Book!!! Written in the form of a third party story as opposed to someone telling or preaching management principles. The principles in this book are very useful and can be applied in everyday real world business environments. As a sales manager it gave me some great ideas on how to take my team to the next level and get that lift we are all looking for!!! Good read, would strongly recommend!!!

i needed this book for work so it was a plus that it came super fast! only complaint that i have is that there are water marks on the front cover of the book and some of the pages. i thought i was buying a new book but it looks like it might have been used :\ not the best quality

I loved this book.It is a 'parable' (a story with meaning and a message akin to the One Minute Manager style) about mentoring others to achieving their best. It offers key lessons to share with others in an insightful and highly useable way... in essence, it creates a template for mentoring others by providing the key topics to discuss and scenarios that challenges often present in by way of example.Very readable, very useful... highly recommended!

While the prose may be a little on the hokey side, this text delivers timeless information in an enjoyable and digestible manner. Anyone struggling to find their footing in any managerial capacity will find it an informative resource for self improvement.

i bought this book for one of my friend who was looking for this for a long time and i found this only on amazon and bought it. and my friend was happy for finding this.
