The directions say to leave on for 2-3 minutes, but I found that letting it sit for longer periods 20 minutes produces better results. My hair is definitely shinier afterwards than using regular conditioners.Update (3/14/25): I can't believe that it's been 7 years since I first purchased this conditioner for my hair! I still use it because the scent is so beautiful. I use it when I take a bath so that I can leave it in my hair for a good 20 minutes. Honestly, this condition smells so great my cat used to bury his face in my hair. At the time, I wondered if there was catnip in it! Ha, ha!!! (It's only been 5 months since I lost my sweet kitty. I miss him every day.) I miss him diving into my hair. Most cats rub on people they like to put their scent on them. It's a sign to others that you belong to them. With this hair mask, I think he was trying to get my scent on him so that others would know that he belonged to me!Anyway, I still love the fragrance of this hair mask and it still leaves my hair smooth and shiny.

I had never used or even heard of this brand before. I have mid-back straight, color treated, coarse hair. I was able to use this tub multiple times, and it smelt wonderful. I dont think one tub made any significant or long term changes in my hair, but it always smelt nice and made my hair soft.

Very moisturizing and hydrating but the floral smell is a bit strong for those with allergies

I have a very curly, thin, black hair. when I first opened the container I was hit with such a wonderful smell I couldn't wait to use it on my hair.It seriously exceeded my expectations: I put it on my hair, combed through it, and let it sit for 5 minutes. When I rinsed my hair it was so soft like silk and leaves my hair looking very healthy. It smells amazing, like perfume for the hair, and made my super damaged hair feel so soft and vibrant!It took me a while to find a hair mask that I really loved and this is now my new favorite and I will continue to use this in the future. It is reasonably priced so you can't go wrong with it.Bonus: its 100% vegan; has natural ingredients, is cruelty-free and never tested on animals!I absolutely love this mask! 5 STARS all the way!

I have really oily, frizzy, dull blonde hair that’s thick in the back and thin in the front. My hair is mostly wavy but some chunks are pin straight and I have plenty of random cowlicks.Naturally, it’s really hard to shop for my hair type. I’ve been trying for the last year to find a good routine for my hair and I try different products all the time. This is one of the best I’ve used! It’s made my hair so much softer and restores so much moisture I know I’m missing out on because of how I keep changing my shampoo/ condition routine.I still have to wash my hair every day or else the oil gets out of control, but this product has kept my hair from getting damaged via drying out.I’ve never been able to apply oils to my hair because they instantly make my hair look dirty, but this doesn’t do that whatsoever. I love the ingredients they put in, it smells good, it feels good, and it makes my hair SO much better. 10/10 recommend!

I had high hopes for this mask after reading the reviews and the ingredients. I scoured the amazon to find a mask like this one with no protein in it. I have been doing rice water rinses and didn't want to overwhelm my hair. But it isn't all that moisturizing. Its basically the equivalent of using regular conditioner. Not a true deep conditioner and its soooooo expensive for a regular conditioner. It smells good sure. But that's not a good enough reason for me to use it. I returned it. Not worth your money.

At my latest hair salon appointment, my hair stylist recommended I get a hair mask, because my hair was so dry. I didn't even know there was such a thing! I always just used conditioner, which clearly wasn't adequate for my dry hair. I looked at several online, and didn't have a clue which one to buy. My primary criterion, as an ethical vegan, was to buy one that was vegan. I ended up picking this one, somewhat at random, and I couldn't be more happy with it! I will continue to buy and use it on an ongoing basis. Very quickly after applying it, it makes my dry, fine, long, often-tangled hair so silky smooth that it is easy to comb through. I have found it very hard to find any conditioner that does that! Usually even after leaving them on for awhile, my hair is still too tangled to comb. And this hair mask leaves my hair so soft and full! Been getting compliments on my hair that I haven't gotten before! I Iove that it's vegan/cruelty-free and uses natural ingredients, and love that it works so well! I'm a very satisfied customer. :-)

Normally I love this, it has a great consistency that was thick and moisturizing, but not heavy and did not leave my curly hair limp or too soft, which I struggle with since my water sucks. It really improved my hair and helped define the curls, but this last time was different. Either they changed the formula or I got a bad batch, or I was scammed.I noticed as soon as I opened the bottle. The color was cream instead of white, the smell seemed different too. Most of all the consistency was off, it was not as thick as normal and felt more like regular conditioner vs a mask. As for how it was in my hair, it was just okay, it did condition it, but it was not a mask and I felt it softened too much.Next time, I may buy at a store as I have a suspicion whomever sold it may have replaced the product with something else. If not and they changed the formula, then please go back to the original one. This one is just normal conditioner, not a mask.
