I recently purchased for the 2nd time. (The 1st cover is still fine but I was careless when washing and it doesn't look great - darker & lint-y.) Eco cover feels weird out of the package but gets very soft, like a medium weight flannel fabric when washed. Not hot ( "sweaty") to sleep on.Sorry, I don't know how it fits a crib mattress.I use it to cover a Medslant folding wedge pillow when I travel, so that I don't pick up bed bugs at hotels and bring them home. It is a comfortably generous fit, a little long - but this makes it easy to put on and take off. The cover can be pulled smooth over the unfolded pillow and the extra length tucked under one end and it can be loosened for easy folding for travel.)The photos do not show construction well. There is an extra small (1.5-2"?) fabric panel, on the inside, behind the zipper-pull end when closed (just at the end...or beginning) as an extra barrier to bedbugs. Bedbugs may still be able to get in or out at this location, but it is an extra barrier and not a visible gap as many zippers have at the "top". (I hope that description is clear.)

Make sure to measure your mattress height before buying - there is a 9" and a 12" tall version of this cover.I shopped around for bed bug proof mattress covers, and decided to buy this cheaper one despite the mixed reviews. I'm satisfied with it. It wasn't difficult to put on, although if it's a tight fit for your mattress you should take a few minutes and not get impatient. The zipper is nothing special, but it's about as secure as you could reasonably expect - I put a bit of tape over the end just to be sure. The material is exactly what I expected after reading the description of "cotton-like." It's stiffer than cotton, but softer than paper. I bought the 9" for a 9" mattress, Extremely tight fit and very challenging to put on. And now, after laundering it and trying to put it back on my mattress, the zipper broke. I'd appreciate a replacement or refund, but doubt I'll get it as I've had the product for almost 2 years. But it's barely used as it is for the guest bedroom. Very disappointed.

Well-made, good quality and does the job. Dust mites are a problem for me and this product works so well for that purpose. It isn't hot or crinkly. It feels soft to the touch. Even on a king size mattress it goes on easily. I also use the pillow covers and covers on the spare bed too. It is just an all round great product.

It worked for couple of years, but started fraying after and the zipper would not close properly. Contacted manufacturer customer service two times with no response.

I love this mattress protector. The bottom and sides are plastic feeling while the top is more smooth like a bed sheet. My daughter’s allergies have definitely improved. I ended up going back to buy a pillow case as well. The mattress cover appears to be waterproof. My toddler daughter had an accident while sleeping and it pooled together on top of the cover. I will say that after having to remove the mattress cover in the middle of the night, I went out and bought a reusable pad in the event of any future accidents. The cover is not like a fitted sheet. Since it zips around and covers the mattress completely, you need to remove the mattress off the bed to remove and put the cover back on. This cover encases the whole mattress. Having to do it while wet and in the middle of the night was a pain. So if you plan to use for a child who is going through potty training, a mattress pad for the top would be great to save yourself some hassle.

Thanks for making this a high quality product. The fabric is strong and has a nice feel. It holds my memory foam layer snugly in place. The zippers are high quality and allow for easy installation of the cover.

Hubby & I both suffer with allergies, so we bought the allergen proof covers for the king sized bed & pillow. After reading the other comments about the possibility of the zipper or cover tearing just putting it on the bed, we were very careful. It laundered well. Putting it on a king sized pillow top bed is a daunting task, but especially with an additonal memory foam topper on top of the bed. We worked it as if it were a giant pillow case, bunching it up at the head of the bed, seating the corners there first. Then with both of us gently tugging it as evenly as we could towards the foot, keeping the top & bottom straight, it worked. It is DEFINITELY a 2-man job. All zipped up and ready for the sheets, we found that the sheets don't exactly slide easily on this cover. It's a bit stiff, but it seems to be helping our allergies so that's something we can live with. It's not particularly noisy as some allergy covers can be. We're satisfied.
