Fantastic video editing headphones!
I'm using these for video editing in Premiere Pro and they're super comfortable (even though I wear glasses). You can wear them on and off for hours and they remain comfortable. The 3.5mm jack plugs straight into a MacBook Pro with no issues. Editing sound and confirming levels is made easy. The reason I gave the headphones 4 stars was because the retail packaging/box the headphones arrive in is quite bad and tears easily (outer box head wear and tear already). Additionally, the carry bag/pouch Sony includes in the box doesn't actually fit the headphones, so it's pointless? That said, the headphones themselves are worth the price.

There are much better headphones these days
Long time ago I used to have MDR-V6 (which are essentially the same headphones, with slightly different frequency response) for many years and loved them. That was the reason for me getting these as monitors for tracking vocals. The thing is, I've had many different heaphones since then, ranging in price from $150 to $550. So I forgot where V6 and 7506 are severely lacking:- ear cushion quality - these are made from very cheap, flimsy material that will start to flake in less than 2 years of use- ear cushion size - these are not really over-the-ear headphones, they are somewhere in between: over-the-ear on one side of your ear, and on-ear on the opposite side- poor passive noise cancelling as the result of the above- poor comfort, for the same reason but also due to clamping force- coiled cable can be finicky, I prefer straight cable desing, less troublesome overall IMO- the highs are quite piercing, so these headphones are fatiguing with prolonged listening sessionThere are so many heaphones these days that have none of those issues. (I have 3 other pairs of headphones at the moment. ) So I'm returning my 7506.

Excellent quality audio
As you would expect the audio quality is excellent. The cable is not removable as with some alternatives and is a rather long coiled cable as you would expect for studio headphones. The cable has a mini stereo jack with a screw on type 1/4 inch stereo jack adaptor. It comes with a fabric head for storage. These are lightweight and comfortable.

Working with music? You need some studio headphones like these!
I've used this wonderful product for over 2 years now I believe, I didn't realise I hadn't left a review for it.As a voiceover artist, I initially didn't realise how important it was to have decent headphones as I thought mine were okay quality enough but I was blown away by the level of detail and the voice I was now finally able to hear. I was EQing all wrong prior and I feel like a fool because of it, but this is just a lesson that one had to learn. If standard smartphone earphones were at a 20% sound quality marker, and some generic overear headphones at around 50%, these pair of Sony headphones feel like a solid 100%. (Tinny monitor speakers would be the 0% mark!)The immersion feels great and the bass is fantastic too. I have read that it can be too good at times and thinks it hears things but from my perspective I've not had such encounters, it must be for people who regularly produce music to notice these things, but my untrained ear struggles to perceive these minute details. One admittance, I dropped these headphones once and one of the "ears" kind of fell off, but it was fairly easy to re-clip it back in, so I'm glad they weren't broken or anything. So points for durability there!I have worn these headphones for hours on end, so they're not uncomfortable. It can get a bit hot as they are fully over-ear but only after very long sessions. I've never caught my hair on these so that's a plus unlike the ones that they hand out in planes (!).Ultimately this was a purchase from Amazon warehouse and I was very pleased, it definitely amped up my voiceover abilities and it's something I don't regret buying. Whilst I was researching, these tended to be reviewed as industry standard at least some time for the past decade and more. Things might have changed now but these were very popular - I just remembered during a networking event, I saw a child of a voiceover using these headphones too! They must be good and renown!Pros:- Great for sound-related careers- Comfortable with size adjustments optional- Durable- Long cablesCons:- Worried one day the main wire could be damaged and since it's fully intergrated with the body of the headphones, it can't be replaced.- Worried the leather-style material will wither away

Great Value
These Headphones have been used in audio and video production for years because of their consistency decent sound and quality. For the price its a no brainer. They are not totally natural, perhaps a bit bass heavy, not a very big sound stage but decent clarity. They are also well suited for monitoring when recording vocals of Acoustic guitars as there is only a little leakage from them once they are on.If you are starting out and want a decent pare to rely on, or if you are a pro in need of an extra pare to use on the move or to track with, look no further.

Excellent
Great sound, look good, I think the build quality is excellent very sturdy, a bargain at £76. I've had beats and bose and the best headphones I had especially for the bass was the sony mdr770bn and these ones are better, i was looking for headphones with no wireless and just wanted lossless sound. I use my bose Quietcomfort for all the other stuff but it's nice to have old school headphones belting out. 10 out of 10 for me.
