I've been looking for a desk of this style in my price range for a long time. It's a good desk. I don't think that the wooden top is solid wood but instead is laminated. It's finished very nicely even on the sides and feels as hard as hardwood. The staining looks very nice. The steel parts are all cut exactly, finished properly with no burs and painted evenly. The hardware connecting it all together is good quality. The bolts are thicker than some might think necessary and when tightened make very secure connections. Each piece assembled looks permanently joined with no spaces between. There are even short struts joining some of the corners that add even more stability. I only have one problem with this desk. Of the 4 struts included one could not be attached because somewhere in the manufacturing process a step was missed and there was nowhere for me to put the bolt. I thought I assembled it wrong but all the parts are clearly labeled and the instructions are clear. The desk can honestly function just fine without one strut but I drilled a through hole anyway and added a little hardware. Even with the one mistake I still think this desk is an extremely good value. It will definitely support more than a hundred pounds. I stood on it to be sure, just not in the middle where there are no legs. This was before I fixed the strut. I'd include pictures of my assembled desk but my lighting is not great and honestly it looks no different from the pictures in the listing. What you see is what you get with this. There's no keyboard drawer but I don't use one anyway. I think it would be quite easy to install one and worth doing if you like everything else about this desk. You would only need to attach some wood or steel on the underside between the front and back of the frame and attach the drawer to that.

It was better quality than I expected. Very easy to assemble. Looks very nice. Simple, space saving, and very sturdy. My only compliant: please please please do not select screws based off color, check lenght as well before vyou get start!ed or you will damage the desk top like i did. Great value!!!! Looks like it cost more. The shelves create storage and organization.

Great desk! Sturdy and easy to put together

We got this desk for a home office with some aprehension about the quality. The desk is made of inexpensive materials, but the metal frame makes it feel very solid once assembled.The drawer is a bit disappointing because it is just a lightweight box. It is really big, but unable to hold heavy items like files.The desk is intended to be assembled in one single configuration, but that would not work well in our space. We decided to try and assemble it with the "L" pointing in the opposite direction and it worked! There is only one screw that does not attach with the inverted configuration, but you can drill a hole in the metal frame and add a longer screw to fit. Even without that screw, though, the desk is very sturdy and doesn't feel wobbly at all.Considering the flimsy drawer, you'll want to get a filing cabinet to fit under the desk or beside it. Other than that, it is an excellent desk at a good price point.The assembly instructions expect you to put everything together while the desk is upside down, but that was a problem in our space. It would have been very hard to flip the assembled desk in that space. We assembled ours right side up. That made for a couple of uncomfortable steps, but it is possible to do it all and have a good end result.
