Epic (Him)

An extra bit of epic happiness in WesMie's HEA! 5+ stars!
I'd originally read Epic when it was part of a multi-authored Christmas anthology last year, and well, this sort of fabulous story deserved a re-read. Written by Sarina Bowen and Elle Kennedy, this novella features one of my all-time favorite couples, Ryan Wesley and Jamie Canning from their Him duet, AND appearances from another favorite Bowen-Kennedy couple of mine, Blake Riley and Jess Canning from Good Boy.Bowen and Kennedy certainly do not disappoint and give fans and readers of this series an extra bit of HEA. Wes and Jamie are still very much happily married to each other and are making names for themselves as a player and a goalie coach, respectively. Change could be imminent, however, and may not only find them in different cities but also opposing sides.Bowen and Kennedy gift fans who have been clamoring for more from WesMie with a story guaranteed to leave everyone smiling. I honestly couldn't stop grinning while reading this. Epic had me giddy with much satisfaction. Five-plus stars. 💜

Short, sweet, funny - love me some Wesmie!!
Novella's are always too short - lol. There is just no other way to say it.Because of EPIC I got a taste of Jamie and Wesley, and a taste is just not enough. Reading EPIC reminded me of how much I love them, and not just Jamie and Wesley, but Jess and Blake too.Now in regards to the novella, I had FUN, lots of FUN reading this short glimpse into their life after US.Jamie and Wesley are still the same - loving, charming, funny, and charismatic. I had the BEST time enjoying this short interlude. I laughed, chuckled, and grinned my way through it.Nevertheless, this novella wasn't nearly enough Wesmie for me, although it was better than nothing. And I can only hope that this wasn't the last time we see them together.

Literally Epic!!! Wesmie is back!!!
If you’re a Wesmie fan, then this book is for you. You have to read it now. If you also listen to it, even better. I have no words to express the extreme perfection that is Epic. Seriously.I love everything about this novella. It’s short but really worth reading. I mean, it’s Wesmie we’re talking about, of course it’s worth it. It will leave you with a dopey smile on your face for days. And let me just say, it has an epic plot twist you won’t see coming. And you’ll get some Blake time too, which is always a bonus. We all love Blake. He’s one of a kind.Epic is literally epic, so go ahead and enjoy the show. You won’t be sorry.

LOVED IT! Always a pleasure meeting up with old friends
This short novella was the best thing ever! It was also what a doctor SHOULD subscribe when anyone is in my state - haven't been reading in WAY too long.. Jamie and Wes are epic as a couple for sure but this novella was especially awesome because it put them at the exact point where their whole relationship started. There isn't a lot to say about this without spoilering.. I'll just say having more of Blake is ALWAYS a good idea. If you don't know who I'm talking about you are missing out! he's the MC in "Good Boy" in which he is coupled with Jamie's sister Jess. While Jamie enjoys his job as associate coach, he can't wait for his promotion to assistant coach. Yet things aren't exactly going as planned and Jamie is worried his bosses are leading him on. That's how he finds himself accompanying his husband Wes to a game to cool a bit off the whole tension. Yet the game does the EXACT opposite (a none-spoiler double meaning hehe)The whole experience left a lot of unanswered questions for both men's future together. We definitely got everything we could hope for in this one. Thanks Sarina and Elle for this great little novella. Always a pleasure meeting up with old friends ;)More @ Ultra Meital Reviews.

More Wesmie!!
'Jesus, how far we’ve come. Childhood friends, to lovers, to husband and husband. Life is a beautiful thing.'More Wesmie!! What a special treat this was. I’ll never turn down a visit with two of my very favorite characters and Epic was, as the name suggests, epic! It may have only been 7 chapters and took me less than an hour to read but just being back in their world took me right back to all the feels I experienced when I first read their story. That feeling, if nothing else, would have caused me to give this story 5 stars – you can’t beat the warmth of nostalgia – but as an added bonus, this was a really fun story! Fans will be pleased to see that Jamie and Wes are living their best life in Toronto – Wes’ hockey career is still going strong and Jamie is loving his coaching gig and they are still very much in love with each other. But when one of them gets an offer to work/play for another team, their lives may get a little more complicated. There’s a teensy bit of drama as the story unfolds but it was a lot of fun seeing how it all played out. I don’t know if we’ll ever get more Wesmie but I was glad to at least get this quick visit! If you’re a fan of this couple (and let’s be honest – how can you not be?) be sure to add this story to your collection!

An EPIC ending to an EPIC series!
The ending of this phenomenal series was nothing short of EPIC!*****Rating: 5 starsSteam: 1 flameGenre: MM / Sports Romance*****In this final novella, Wesmie have more challenges to contend with. How will their love story end? Epically that is how!I am not going to spoil anything except to say this was a perfect ending to the HIM and WAG series. I really hope there are more books in the future because I truly enjoyed the entire cast of characters!*****Rating: 5 starsSteam: 1 flameGenre: MM / Sports Romance*****In this final novella, Wesmie have more challenges to contend with. Great fun, even if it barely qualifies even as a novella
Selling this (literally and figuratively) as a novella is a bit rich when it's very much the short story they more honestly describe it as on the back cover. That said, it's a fun coda to the story of Wes and Jamie - I'm just wondering whether that's what it is, or more of a placeholder until a third full-length novel comes along, in which case it probably could have waited and been included in that. But then I'm only reading these stories now, not when they were released, so there's been no time for me to miss the characters and grab anything on offer to fill the void.

Life is good
Sarina and Elle are truly amazing at giving us more of Wesmie. I was super excited to read this and it's an absolutely perfect story. Jamie and Wes are perfect together. It's an extension of how things are going in their lives together and the best part was seeing how secure Wes is now in their marriage. So if you like/love HIM and US you need to read this story too.
