Despite its unassuming size and it's simplicity it works extremely well. I have had them stuck on the side of almost every aquarium I have owned. I use them as a backup and a secondary thermometer for a quick comparison between it and my more accurate thermometer to make sure they agree and there are no discrepancies between the two. I have had them work for over ten years and outlast the aquarium.Word of advice, make absolutely sure you place it where you want it because once it's on the only way it's coming off is with destructive force. It can come off but you will break it in the process.Overall I would highly recommend this for every aquarists for every aquarium you own.

Easy to use, seemingly accurate, cheap. Perfect.I have it attached to the outside corner of my small five gallon tank. The room my tank is kept in tends to be cold, and with the winter season upon us, I wanted to make sure I had an idea of warm/cold my tank is. I bought a heater and this thermometer. I almost purchased one that gets attached inside, but real estate inside this tiny tank is limited. This is perfect.This thermometer is unobtrusive- I don't focus in on it when looking at my tank. It simply attached to outside of tank, so no hassle in getting it set up. Shows a temperature range that appears to be accurate. Between this and the heater I added, my guppies seem much happier.

I think these strips are good except they need to be put on a tank at eye level because they don't glow strong enough and are not that easy to read unless right on top of it. I have 4 if these and they all are accurate and match the 2nd thermometer readings I have. They are non obtrusive though which I really like.

works as stated and colors last....I put mine on outside of bottom of tank away from the heater to get accurate reads the entire length of the tank

Thought it was hard to read. To be fair I do have trouble with my eyes.

Awesome little thermometer. Beats the pants off the digital thermometer because it's ALWAYS THERE and you don't have to bust out a separate device. Do yourself a favor and get this for convenience.

I know this only costs a few dollars but it’s impossible to read and a waste of money. Do not buy.
