I wanted a razor that not only felt more substantial, but also was easier to maneuver with and held the blades in place. This took some getting used to, but I love it! My other razors always loosely held the blades in place, but this one has rods to hold them in place firmly. Must buy for self groomers!

I was concerned that it would be difficult to maneuver on my face during the shave. All my concerns were laid to rest after the first shave. It was actually easier to control and gave as good, if not better, shave as my traditional straight razor I use at home. The ease of aligning and angling this razor resulted in no bikes or cuts.The only criticism is something very minor. The retaining screw is un-esthetic. I know... superficial, but necessary. I give it a 4 out of 5 stars. I would purchase again and recommend to my fellow "Cold Steel Wet Shavers".As I say..."Blood in, whiskers off and clean shaving"👍🏽

I will preface this review by saying I was just going to buy a pack of razors for about 7$ and this razor holder came with a 100pk of the derby premium blades for about 10$ so it was worth a try.With that being said, the machining on the product is terrible and it doesn’t sit even on both sides of the blade. One side sits lower so it only cuts on one side unless you adjust the two sides so that the razor is evenly exposed on both sides.It’s nice and compact for tight spaces so I would recommend buying a higher quality holder.
