Disjointed, but beautiful.
This title should be for mature readers. Yes, there's some nudity and gore, but more the point of requiring maturity is the story arc. It's from France, but it's not for kids like Asterix or Tintin. OK, so Tintin's Belgian, but I hope you get my point. This title was written by an adult for adults. The illustrations are compelling, but the story is not as rich as I had hoped for. Then again, I'm spoiled with Jodorowsky's amazing visions and bought this largely because I became a fan of Gimenez' style through his work on The Metabarons series - written by Jodorowsky. I'd recommend The Metabarons first, then segue into this title once you've absorbed those.

GORGEOUS art, muddle story
Like much of the Eurowave graphic movement (i.e. Metal Hurlant/Heavy Metal), this story has wonderful art and graphic design, but the story is a bit muddled and pedestrian. The second story in this volume is better than the first.
