A red winged blackbird sitting on late winter sumac. I took this photo many years ago and didn't like it. It was only recently that I realised what I didn't like. In the final image I desaturated the background and the sumac stalks to really emphasize the bird and the seed heads. This is now one of my favorite images. 5"x10" print in a black 11"x14" mat.
