IELTS 5 Practice Tests, General Set 1: Tests No. 1-5 (High Scorer's Choice)

I used it to prepare for General IELTS exams. The book helped me tremendously on improving Listening and Reading skills. Writing section has very good topics and examples. Speaking section, each test has an example of a test taker including the score and comment(s). It helps me to get an idea about how speaking test would happens on the test day. However, to practice speaking more effectively, I need to talk 1 on 1, listen to mock speaking test on YouTube.

I had practice test 1-5 and 11-15 for general IELTS. The books has precise context with answers and examples. This book helped me a lot to score the grades i wanted. Kudos to ielts-blog and the author Simone.

I used this book for practicing Reading, Listening and Writing sections and it helped me immensely. I ended up with a couple of 9s and an 8. Listening tests were particularly top notch since I am not used to Aussie accent at all and it helped in making me comfortable with it. Speaking section had sample responses for different band levels but I think it would have been helpful to include an ideal response for each task alongside the sample for different band levels. I ended up with a 7.5 on speaking. All in all a great book and a must buy.

I am using this book to practice for my test next week and have been finding really useful. The book has suggestions and critical points that are useful during the exam. The tests are comparable to other online tests on official websites. It also provides audio scripts and sample answer for writing sections which helps a lot.

I highly recommend this book, for all IELTS takers. I learned from this book the real format of the test. All reading sections in this book were so interested, also I got a great practice over the listening section and learning about many speaking topics that I never thought that it could be there. I highly recommend to all General IELTS takers who are interested in learning a pass this test to consider buying all of these books to practice and get ready for the Test.Best Book Ever!!!

This series of books is very similar to the actual IELTS test. There are sample responses for the writing and the speaking sections that can give you an idea how to improve your score. If you are already confident to take the test and you only need a few weeks of preparation, I would absolutely recommend these books.

As an IELTS tutor and coach, I have access to large numbers of books and practice test materials for IELTS Academic but it's not been so easy to find high quality practice for the General Test. Review on (Set 1 & Set 6)I have completed 2 sets of the books. (Set 1 & Set 6)And i must say, author has very well arranged things inside.In the starting you may feel that the answers are not matching, listening is fast, accents are not appropriate.But don't forget, it is very important to have a habit of understanding every type of english accent. As in the exam discussion may be happening in any accent.In short, one stop book from the preparation of IELTSI bought it for General Training.Don't go for confused writers. Try this one once and get the others incase you feel its worth the shot.

This is a fantastic book if you are preparing for IELTS general training module. The questions are designed in such way that prepare you for the actual exam. I strongly recommend all IELTS candidates to practice all this test in real exam condition at your home and you will be surprised as these test will increase your Band score by 1 to 2.

I have used lot of IELTS books and have written the exam once (got 8.5 in Listening). I can vouch that the listening section is not like in the real test. Most of the words are unclear when they talk.Except listening rest is good

The practice tests were really helpful to practice a mock test. The difficulty range of the questions varies throughout and the answers are well explained. It was worth a buy!
