Vermont Natural Coatings 101150 Polywhey Heirloom Wipe-on, Gloss

Had used the PolyWhey Semi-Gloss floor finish on a counter top and wanted to do a desk and cabinets so I bought this rub-on version. This product was so watery it would have required 8 coats to amount to anything so instead I used the Vermont PolyWhey Semi-gloss Floor Finish and applied with a very damp (but not wet) lambswool applicator. It worked great and I dampened the applicator every now and then to slightly thin the finish. Sanded with 220 after the first coat and then only again when I made a mistake or got a hair caught in the finish. Make sure you apply with the grain of the wood. Ended up applying 3 coats and the final finish was somewhere between a semi-gloss and satin. No fumes and easy clean up. I recommend the Vermont Natural Coatings products, just not this version.
