NOTE: This bowl is reduced in price because the bowl warped a bit at the opening, which you can see in the third (3) picture. This yarn bowl is cut with a large pass through spiral. It is made of two different colored clays. One is buff stoneware clay and the other is a dark reddish brown clay. It is wheel thrown and trimmed by hand in my own studio. I cut the opening out by hand. Then I smooth all the edges, to ensure the yarn does not drag on the surface. The glaze is a translucent blue glaze to show the clay mix. It is fired to cone 6 (2290 Deg F) in an oxidation environment, for durability. It measures 5.85 inches across at the top and 3 inches high and holds an average skein of yarn. The picture shows the bowl with a full 3.52 ounce (100 gram) skein of 4 ply yarn, which shows this bowl's capacity.
