Beautiful looking plaque and looks of good quality. However, if you your mailbox is in direct sunlight the black will completely fade. Mine did after only a few weeks. I contacted seller and Kelly Holland, CEO, said "Our plaques are weather resistant, however, as with all inks and dyes, prolonged exposure to direct sunlight will fade your slate". Unfortunately they don't mention this on the Amazon product description. Kelly stated that it's in their "How to care for your plaque" which is a paper they include in the packaging which you only receive AFTER you order the plaque. My response to her was that a couple of weeks is not "prolonged exposure" and I expected it would last longer. She was unwilling to replace it at no charge nor refund the order. She only offered a 25% discount on a replacement which was disappointing. I didn't see the need to order a replacement that will only last a couple of weeks in direct sunlight. Many of my neighborhood have plaques on their mailboxes in direct sunlight and they have no issues with the ink fading. Too bad because Sassy Squirrel plaque is good looking but not the quality I need. If they made improvements and their plaques didn't fade after short timeframe, I would consider in the future.

I am disappointed that the letters and numbers are PAINTED on this plaque and NOT ETCHED. This was not clear from the description and for the price I expected it to be etched. I would not have paid $60 to paint numbers on since I could do that myself. Now that I am reading other reviews, I am even more disheartened to learn that I can expect this paint to fade in a short period of time. Boo.This part was my ordering mistake, but adding as comment so others don't make the same mistake.I wanted clear easy to read from the street non-cursive numbers and letters. I didn't realize that you had to pick the font twice (for numbers and letters separately). This was my mistake, but it makes me unhappy with the product since I purchased it to help people easily see our address.... I would have never picked cursive for a sign that I needed people to easily read. So my block numbers are what I wanted and the letters are in a different cursive font that is hard to read and doesn't match the numbers.

I purchased this sign for my house back in February 2018 and loved how the black slate with the white letters looked. Unfortunately it started to fade about 6 months in due to the direct sunlight it was subject too. I held off submitting a complaint as I was hopeful the fading would eventually stop but nearly 2 years after the purchase, the sun had bleached the slate to where the numbers were barely visible. Recently I contacted the seller and within hours I received a response telling me that they were sending me a new sign made with their new UV resistant printing process so my sign would not bleach in the sun.

This is a very attractive sign, however, I thought that the numbers would actually be engraved into the slate they are not they are painted on.

I live in a remote area where houses are so far apart and my house is located on the dirt road a quarter mile away from the main road. The house doesn’t have any address sign and I order quite a bit from Amazon and other online retailers that delivery services have problems finding my house. I had times where the delivery guys pass by my house and probably hesitant to ask and they just drive by. Since I bought this address sign, I’m reassured that they’ll manage to finally find my house with no problems. The sign is very clear and readable from a distant and anyone looking for my address should be able to find it. I’m very glad with the purchase and it’s very useful just Incase there’s an emergency and ambulance or paramedic are looking for my address. This sign really helps. The delivery was quick and the product was intact when I got it. It even came with the string to hang it up on the fence. The ordering process was easy and very detailed with the options to what address I wanted written on the sign. It was quick and very professional. I’m happy with my purchase.

This is really a great product! I shopped around for street numbers for a long time due to my house being a 1/2, which is hard to find and when I did find one it didn’t look good. This looks good and had enough room for my awkward 1/2 numbers. It’s very heavy and well made. I love it. It might be a little small if your house is far from the street but my house is very close to the street and the mail is delivered on foot, so it’s perfect.

Custom sign message for our plaque is "NON Potable Water" The sign is a bit too big for my purpose, however I could not find any Non-Potable-Water signs to buy in town or online that were a nice quality other than plastic signs. Wanted to have the sign in our new xeriscape side yard as a decorative measure so owners do not let their dogs drink the water, and I did not want an industrial sign message which seems to be the only type available in the retail market. I suppose garden centers will be ordering and stocking them for next year, since I called all of them in town, but none carried them... yet. Attached are pictures, the slate stone is nice but very thin. The print is done with screen printing ink, but it should last, if not I can touch it up easily enough.

I am satisfied with the quality of the product and will be able to better evaluate at the end of the coming winter.However, I would like to warn Canadian customers that they will be billed extra charges by the shipping company for tax and custom fees. In my case, I had to pay an exta $66 CAD !!!Having known that, I would have purchased locally.

We ordered white writing on Black Slate and it looks great. It would have been 5 stars if FedEx hadn't charged an additional $54 to deliver in Canada :(
