29"-50" Close Dryer Vent Periscope Pipe for Venting to Top

Tired of those flexible dryer hoses that were made out of PVC, especially since they always felt like they could catch on fire. This was not only the way it should be made but only took me 5 minutes to attach it to the dryer outlet and add some vent tape around the seams!

Was not able to reach above my dryer as pictured. But I was able to do what I needed with it.

Solid construction and a versatile design made this the right choice for me when I decided to stack my drying on top of my washer in the utility room. The outside vent was near the bottom of the washer and close to the corner of the room, so I needed something that would fit nicely at the bottom and be "angled and extended about 30-degrees" to my dryer outlet located about mid-center of the stack.The periscope vents adjustable length and rotating outlets made that possible. In addition, I was able to reverse the outlets with little trouble to make it work for my configuration. Note: I had to purchase a 5" vent extension from Home Depot to attach the periscope end with my dryer outlet. This was because my dryer outlet was designed recessed about 4" from the back panel of the dryer.

absolutely the best idea ever. i actually have aluminum tape, (which is not cheap) and used it to seal the ductwork once i established my size. some of elbow edges also needed additional sealing. Remember not extend fully, if can. this will allow for flexibility of extending more when purchase next dryer, since hole never in same spot.

This works great! It reduced wasted space and gave a neat finish to the installation. We belive, with the smooth finish, airflow is even better.Attach to dryer first, clamp and tape connection, then you can adjust the rest.Just know that you HAVE to duct tape every section and seam, so there's no air leaks. Worth it!!
