These run 4-4 1/2 inches long are are very high quality strung blood quills off the butts of turkey. Harvested throughout the USA they are then sent by container to china where they are washed, disinfected and hand sorted. Each individual feather is graded...then stacked and the bases are sewn or what is commonly referred to as strung. *And people wonder why good marabou is hard to find and Expensive. Look at what this takes in logistics, energy and labor. Our marabou is well known in the trade because of the quality and wonderful assortment of colors. We promise you well not be disappointed. These are harvested from commercially raised birds and are a byproduct which helps our American poultry growers. There are A million uses for these like, streamer wings, damsels, jigs, buggers, wings on Muddlers, and hackle on salmon and steelhead flies. See my videos..as I use it on all kinds of flies. I think I still have up a 'mastering material' video showing many ways to use marabou. FYI; Marabou is the hind end or the bushy BUTT feathers located on a turkey, and almost all comes from the USA. We grow and eat a crap load of turkey. Now days all white feathers...but that another story. So some folks are feather collectors. They get the feathers as the birds are processed. They literally fill containers with Bou. Can you imaging the amount of feathers it takes to fill a full container? These are then sent to China where they are washed, hand sorted, graded, then some are strung. That what these are. Once strung we then buy them back. We usually import 150 kilos per shipment. And we blow thru this amount. I am going to say made in America. ...
