Spirit Stain Rainbow Colors for Wood (White)

Getting the lid off required some serious plier-work and getting the plug out was a bit dicey (don't try opening it over anything but some absorbent paper/protection 'cause you may spill some!), but I wish I had found this some years ago. After only one application and waiting a while, I can re-sand for smoothness and soon put down another thin coat or more the same day, wipe them off and it's almost ready to start applying clear coats. (If the humidity is high where you're using it, give it an overnight spell.)It may seem expensive, but a little goes a long, long way and it's easy to handle - doesn't dry so quickly that you can't wipe it down to get it even yet it's ready in less than an hour for another application.

I’ve tried hundreds of water based and oil based stains for my guitar builds. Most block the chatoyance of the wood (the 3D shimmer effect), but these are absolutely incredible!Just go light at first until you get the desired color, because they are higher quality, one pass will cover it completely, which still looks great! But if you want to pop the grain and combine colors, obviously you’ll sand back anyway. LOVE THESE STAINS!!!!

Practice first. I was using on mahogany and the color was a little on the silver side... not really unexpected but I couldn’t use white paint. I little fussy if you have distinct boundary’s you’re working with as it bleeds a bit. It has a lot of pigment but you still may need multiple coats.

Applied to a swamp ash tele body which was later cleared with 2k matte poly. The stain went on easy and I was able to get the desired opacity after a few coats. I used about half the bottle for this body. I gave it a week before spraying the clear and found no issues.

This product did actually what it was suppose to do.... Cover or conceal furniture flaws. I only wish they had more colors available between white and off white.

Used to stain an old mirror frame and it turned out great.
