Did It Do Anything? In Two Case, No; In The Other Didn't Expect It To
I had the opportunity to examine three Goddgut products: Goodgut Boost Immune Support Prebiotic, 28 Count (the everyday prebiotic), Goodgut Edge Prebiotics (the post-workout, recovery prebiotic), and Goodgut Rescue Acute Relief Prebiotic, 21 Count (the abdominal distress, rescue prebiotic). As best as I can tell the only difference between the three is the amount of "ingredients" (the packaging lists identical items for all three): daily "Boost" has 34 mg, post-workout Edge has 67.5 mg, and abdominal distress "Rescue" has 135 mg. So "Edge" doubles "Boost," and "Rescue" doubles "Edge." Given they are essentially the same product they get the same review....In general, I buy into the idea of prebiotics as food for gut bacteria. The idea is that the presence of "good bacteria" in the gut leads to a healthy gut. Prebiotics, it is hoped, leads to better gut health and therefore non-damaged intestinal wall linings (the opposite of which apparently leads to leaky gut and ...).So the science supports prebiotics (or maybe not), but as one of my doctors told me, "it couldn't hurt." So I've been using pre- and pro-biotc supplements for some time. What I haven't seen before is the use of prebiotics post-workout or to relieve abdominal stress.Bottom line, I saw no improvement with either the Edge (post-workout) or Rescue (abdominal distress) prebiotics. I didn't see any difference with "Boost," but in this case I didn't expect to (it is just a continuation of daily prebiotic use).So how does one rate this product? I can't say "I love it" (4 stars) because I didn't see any effect/improvement with the "special" items (contrary to product claim). I really can't slam the products either. So "3 stars" it is ("It's okay"). I think that's fair.Okay, so rating out of the way, I think it important to add that with supplements there is always a loose association between stated claims and supporting clinical research. These products are no different. So in the end, you're probably doing yourself no harm taking these supplements (and I will continue to do so), but you should also be wary of the claims made and these claims' actual relationship to the research these products imply support them).3 stars.

Try For Yourself
I have used this recently when I work outside doing gardening and yard maintenance, which I consider a pretty hard workout. I get sweaty and use muscles that I normally wouldn't so I felt that this was a fair test of this product. I can't say that I've noticed a big difference in how I feel, either positively or negatively, the times that I've used it.In looking at a few, various Goodgut prebiotic supplements, they all state that they contain the same ingredients, though it doesn't state the quantities or percentages of each fiber, just the overall mix of their "Preliva" blend, of which there is 67.5 mg in this and their "Balance" supplement. The "Boost" immune system support only contains 34 mg of "Preliva" and the "Rescue" contains 135 mg.. The instructions for all versions are to take one capsule in the morning (or when distress symptoms begin) and then repeat as necessary. So, in my mind, it makes little difference which one you buy, comparing price to strength and quantity of pills, as they all appear to be made with the same Preliva blend.I felt that the Rescue version of this was quite effective and do use this or a different prebiotic supplement regularly, as well as probiotics. I feel that since I began using them, my overall health has improved, though I'm aware of the general controversy about these supplements and their quality. My feelings are that if you're curious and interested in maximizing your workouts and recovery, try it for yourself. My experience is that I've had some success using Goodgut's products so feel safe recommending to at least try them.I will update if I have more to add.

Goodgut goodness gracious
I have been taking other Goodgut probiotics, but this is my first time with this prebiotic. I know that my stomach starts groaning as soon as I try to exercise and I will end up with diarrhea, so it is a good thing I exercise at home. I haven't dared to take a walk for some time because I have had so many stomach issues. My doctor told me that after my last flareup, after antibiotics to start taking probiotics. Still having issues so now I am adding this prebiotic to my daily regimen. Frankly, if it takes care of the stomach distress, I will be ecstatic, so it is a good thing for me to take this. I like the ingredients I saw listed for the proprietary blend of what they call Preliva. This is designed to fortify your stomach lining and reduce workout muscle soreness. I'm in.

Has allot of fruit in these caps, but how much sugar!,This is a Prebiotic.
I’m really not sure how this works! When I exercise I do not get sore muscle, and I do not get sick. (thank goodness).I do lift lite weights etc., lite jogging & walking etc. If I over do it when hiking for 3 hours, my muscles have hurt at times, but its rare. After I exercise I make a Veggie smoothie, and put in some plain yogurt (has allot of protein, no sugar), and organic blue berries and organic strawberries , and feel good.I have tried this Goodgut and I have to say, I do not notice a differences, but as I said, I do not get sick when I exercise.Being that I was sick awhile go, and did take antibiotic, I think Goodgut has help me there. It is a Prebiotic, and I take a Probiotic later with dinner. From reading the Supplement facts, to me this looks like allot of healthy Fruit but it does not say how much sugar this amounts too!!!I think this is an expensive prebiotic for 28 caps, $25.00. !!

Didn't notice any difference.
I didn't notice any difference after taking the full bottle of these prebiotics, I really don't have muscle soreness anyways after exercising and no digestive upset. So, I am not sure what difference I should be feeling but I guess it doesn't hurt to use these and I already take probiotics. Maybe this is beneficial for some people but for me I didn't notice any change.
