A quality puzzle maker for kids
Mudpuppy makes a quality product that stands up to the continues use my son gives them. He loves the bright colors and when grid patterns make it easy for him to assemble one on days he may have trouble concentrating. They also have more challenging pictures so it’s a great balance.

Some pieces came bent
I bought this for Valentine's day in early January and just got around to putting it together in February. I would return this as damaged but I missed the return window by one day. Note to self - don't buy presents too early. A few of the pieces are bent and one of the "poky" bits of a piece is almost entirely torn off. It really takes away from the satisfaction of building and completing a puzzle when pieces are messed up. I also have the artistic cats version and not one of those pieces has a flaw. Love that puzzle.

Intentionally misleading “Pride” puzzle
Imagine my embarrassment when a family member called me with details about the Valentine’s Day puzzle I had sent my 86 year old mother! It was well rated, looked cute and upbeat, was promoted as family friendly, and appeared to be of good quality materials. Nowhere on the Amazon page was information noting that it depicted same sex coupling in the animal kingdom and included written materials promoting it. The few reviews I read made no mention of it, although I found other surprised and unhappy reviews when I went back for a second look. It’s not the content that offends me, but it is that the marketing seems intentionally misleading. Items which touch on controversial topics should clearly state it so that parents and other consumers can make informed purchasing decisions.
