if only it was finished
This game was so promising, a simcity in space! but while the base gameplay of building up a city was there, the game is plagued with bugs and incompleteness. for example on the cd case it says "deal with hostile rebel colonies" - well in the game the rebel colony just forms and then many turns later they give up, can't trade, no hostility, etc. Oh and if you want to just keep building eventually you will hit a bug that your population will start dying exactly exponentially, so there is that.This game was incredibly promising, there is a sequel Outpost 2 that is quite fun and bug free, but more mission based than big city builder, more in the direction of starcraft with a simple city builder attached as opposed to the awesomeness that outpost appeared it was going to be.
