I dug a 600ft trench, pulled cable through a conduit and couldn't get anything to work. Turns out that fiberoptic cables must be pulled by the kevlar string rather than the jacket to avoid damaging the cable. It's so obvious in retrospect -- but this tool helped me track down the problem and eventually test the replacement cables. I'm very happy with this purchase.
