What are the clear plastic tubes for, that came with the costume?

There are little sleeves on the inside of the truck cab part, just above where the front wheels stick out, that the straws fit into. They help keep the tuck cab sticking outward instead of flopping down.

How do you attach the truck cab to your child’s body? Please help we can’t figure it out!!
