Genesis Revolution 64,000 grain Water Softener - I purchased and installed this unit six months ago. At first, it worked extremely well but recently stopped working altogether. It runs through its regeneration cycle as programmed but makes no soft water. I worked through the troubleshooting guide checking everything that was suggested but nothing worked. I then attempted to call Customer Service but no one answered. I called five times over two weeks each time leaving my name and contact information. I never received any response. Once, someone actually answered the phone only to tell me no technicians were available but assured me someone would get back to me right away. Nothing. This is absolutely unacceptable; This unit was not inexpensive. If you choose to buy one and it works for you consider yourself lucky because if it doesn't you are on your own.

I purchased a Genesis Revolution 64,000 Grain Water Softener from them on December 20, 2017 and installed it approximately 10 days later. My water hardness before the installation was between 25-26 GPG and has continued to run that consistently before entering the softener. Initially my softener worked as described, or so I thought. One afternoon in February I decided to re-check the hardness of my water, and it had increased to between 15-17 GPG with over 900 gallons left before regeneration. I performed a manual regeneration and the water hardness dropped to between 0-1 GPG. I then re-checked with approximately 1000 gallons remaining before regeneration, and again, the hardness had increased to 15 GPG.I initially contacted them on February 24, 2018 to tell them of my issues. Off and on sense then we have tried several fixes, no of which solved my issue. They contacted the manufacturer who suggested I check to see of the float assembly would move freely; the assembly would not move freely, suggesting it was air locked. After a couple of manual regenerations, the unit would still airlock. The manufacturer sent me a new assembly which I installed on May 20, 2018 and then scheduled a regeneration for that night. I checked my water hardness the next morning, May 21, 2018 and it was down to 0 GPG. I checked the water hardness again on May 25, 2018 with 987 gallons remaining and the hardness was 2 GPG. I re-checked the water hardness again on, May 26, 2018 and with 756 gallons remaining the hardness has jumped to 11 GPG. So, in a little over 200 gallons of usage, the water hardness had increased 9 GPG.Since the replacement of the float assembly, we have tried replacing injectors and different programming; none of which have fixed the problem. I have now entered the seventh month since I purchased this unit, and they have yet to fix the problem. I mentioned that since this unit was purchased new and has not worked properly from day one, that I would like a complete new unit. They answered with that they had talked to the manufacturer rep again and would be sending me a new brine tank.I responded to their email concerning the brine tank of July 29, 2018 and its now July 14, 2018 and I have yet to receive the new brine tank, or even hear back from them.I do not believe that it is too much to ask that a product bought new from a company that has not worked properly since day one, be replaced after 5 months of attempted repairs.I purchased a similar sized Fleck from them in 2016 for my pervious home and had no issues. I don’t know if I have received a lemon, but due to the service support and quality of this current unit, I cannot in good conscious recommend this product or company due to the issues I continue to have.

Bought a water softener from Discount two years ago. Kept getting hard water long before the unit would backwash. Asked Discount for assistance and all I got after multiple emails and phone calls was platitudes and promises but zero real information. After a lot of bluster and quite a bit of incorrect information, I've simply adjusted the unit on my own until I just stopped getting hard water at the end of a cycle. Very happy with the softener itself, and the price was great, but if you ever need support don't expect to get it from this guy.

I bought a Genesis Revolution 32000 grain water softener from discountwatersofteners.com. It works great. It comes pre-programmed, so there isn't much you need to do except the time and day and grains of hardness of your own water. I'm tired of paying Culligan $46.00 per month for soft water.
