Dorman 576-951 Fuel Tank Compatible with Select Ford / Lincoln Models

The tank fit as it should but the flange where the two pieces of metal meet was sticking out a little too far for the fuel tank strap to mount up easy. had to do a little fab work with a hammer to line up the hole

Perfect fit. Fuel pump seals the best using the gasket and and bolts supplied with the tank. Simply remove the original gasket off the your pump assembly and installed the supplied gasket. Factory fuel tank straps work fine with this tank. 1999 F150 4x2 extended cab with 6' bed, 139" wheel base.

This 24.5 gallon tank fits a 2003 Ford F150 Supercrew with a 5.4. If you are getting this tank, make sure you also get the correct Dorman gas tank straps, as the OEM straps will not work with this tank.

I used the original factory straps that were replaced under warranty at one point and were in good shape. The straps are stronger than aftermarket. You will break the black hard to reach plastic pressure sensor as dirt gets in harness to disassemble but also in the compressible ring to push and turn---snap. The tank itself accepts the new fittings no problem and comes with a little grease on the push, turn adapter port. The tank vent hoses I found rotted a bit and got new hose, no big deal. This tank came with a new gasket and screw bolts for the swapping of the fuel pump---taped to the OUTSIDE of the box. Not the greatest packaging and I had a dent on the lip of the tank. I painted the tank with rust paint just in case. 95 litre tank. Tank is made in Taiwan. Seems ok. Better tank same price on Eb... in Calgary shipping free but was uncertain of fit. This Dorman tank fit with no issues. This is not a five minute job and took me three days on and off but I was cleaning up the underside and painting the underside of the bed/frame while the tank was out. Muriatic acid cleans small parts, tubes, screws, clamps etc very well, like new. I replaced the neck filler port too. Large hose good, small hose brittle. 1/2 ID fuel hose I think.

Works great for a 2001 ford f-150, way better and cheaper then other places especially since it’s an older truck

Fit in like original tank and never needed to use there straps used the original straps so no complaints put in a 2003 f 150 fx4

The ordering process was easy...by entering all the details of the make, model, wheel base etc of my truck. It is being installed today! Even my regular mechanic couldn't locate one to install. I found it on Amazon!
