Difficult.
The blade pieces fit so tight in the tube, that it is near impossible to turn the blade to lock it in place. My blades would not lock. And it is even more difficult to get the blade out. Also, the "ON" button does not stay on. The motor only operates as long as you are pressing down on the "ON" button. As soon as you let go, the unit stops. I sent this back and purchased the Presto professional salad shooter, and it is night and day much better than this one. The Presto is easy to put together and easy to operate. The "ON" button turns it on, and the "OFF" button turns it off. The Presto has a blade cover, which makes it easy to set the blades in and easy to take them out. Save yourself the hassle and disappointment and just go straight to the Presto.

Does NOT grate cheese
I got this one because some posts said they used it to GRATE cheese. Which is what I wanted. It does NOT GRATE. it does not have a fine enough attachment to grate parmigiana cheese. It will finely shred it. I guess they didn’t know the difference between grated and shredded. On button must be held on manually. So you can only use one hand to hold the on button and one to hold whatever your cutting.

This product is not worth purchasing
This isn't worth purchasing. We used it on some simple things shredding cheese and slicing carrots and it worked OK. Today we used it to slice potatoes and it was mess. some of the potato got caught between the spinning blade and the shredder and I had to work extremely hard to get it out. I would return it if I could but I'm out 7 days too many. I wish we had shredded the potatoes sooner so I could have returned it.

Handles small pieces, must keep pushing power
Because of the power button placement, the output must be on the left. This is awkward for my ordinary work-flow. It is two-handed operation: you have to hold the button down to keep the grinder on, and push down on the vegetable pusher with the other. The instructions are unclear: the "internal card holder" doesn't easily move into the place indicated in the diagram. It does grate zucchini nicely without mashing it, and thinly sliced chopped onions. However, in order to do this, the pieces dropped in the hopper (in the directions this is called "vegetable cutting of the head") have to be the size of a large walnut. It does a good job of managing the zucchini skin, without having it get stuck excessively between the cutting cone and the housing. This was made in China. It's hard to find that information in the description, but it's on the grater.

Power button must be pushed to stay on (operate).
This machine does not stay on by itself, power button must be held to operate. No room for multitasking as your hand must remain in the power button.
