This ink is absolutely beautiful. The bluish gray color is subtle, elegant, and incredibly versatile—it works just as well for everyday writing as it does for sketching or journaling. It has quickly become my favorite ink colors. The flow is smooth and consistent with no clogging or skipping, and it dries at a reasonable speed. Because it’s non-carbon, it feels safe and easy to use in fountain pens, even with regular use. The ink shades nicely without being distracting, giving handwriting a polished, professional look. Currently the best value fountain pen ink on the market. I have three colors at the moment and plan on purchasing more soon. The colors are beautiful and really stand out without being obnoxious. I assume they are a dye based ink and it has great opacity. Really goes down smooth too with a quick dry time.

It is a nice shade of bluish green. It flows well through my fountain pen and I get a nice consistent line when writing. Like most fountain pen inks, it will smudge if you get it wet after the ink has dried. (It is NOT waterfast like ballpoint ink.) It is one of the most inexpensive inks on the market, and seems to be just as good as the more expensive brands. It is also readily available at Amazon, shipping free if you are a Prime member.

This ink is great! I used it in a Jinhao fountain pen and I love the color. The color is more of a dark turqiouse and leans very blue, but it is accurate to the product photos and I think it's beautiful. It didn't bleed much through regular printer paper and layered well. I love this ink for drawing and writing.

I recently decided to dip my toes into the world of fountain pens and, upon seeing the Hongdian ink as a "frequently purchased together" item decided to give it a go. Overall, I am pleased with the ink's appearance on the page. It truly is a bluish gray, though the extent of the gray seems to depend somewhat on the paper. On a basic yellow legal pad, I have found it favor the gray while on smoother paper, such as a receipt, the blue is more pronounced. Overall, the color looks nice. As a lefthander, particularly one that writes from the side, one thing I'm always aware of is smearing and smudging. I have found this ink to be a bit of a mixed bag when it comes to drying time and resistance to smudging, even with an extra-fine nib. Some of this is attributable to paper differences. On a Midori MD A5 notebook, I have encountered smearing even after the passage of several minutes. On a receipt, however, the ink does not smear even though less time has elapsed. None of this is a criticism of this ink, but lefthanders should be aware that their experience may vary depending on the paper and nib being used. I'm not an expert in ink prices by any stretch, but 60 mL seems to be a decent amount for the price. The packaging was very lovely and I did not have any leaks whatsoever, so I cannot be more pleased on that front. In the final analysis, I think most fountain pen users will be pleased with this ink if they are looking for a bluish gray hue. Lefthanders, however, should be mindful of the propensity for smearing and how they might combat that.

Really solid ink for the price. The bottle design is smart - wide enough to dip into easily and heavy enough not to tip over. The black color is deep and clean, not watery or gray like some cheaper inks. I’ve been using it in my Asvine V200, and it flows great with no clogs or leaks. Like a few other people mentioned, it can take a swipe or two to start if the pen’s been sitting, but once it gets going, it writes smooth and consistent. On Leuchtturm paper it holds up well - no feathering or bleed-through, even with heavier strokes. Honestly, this ink feels like something that should cost more. Definitely worth it if you’re into fountain pens and want a dependable everyday black.

The ink in this product is excellent. It doesn't smudge, dries quickly, and the color is very vivid and expressive. I recommend it, especially since it's not overly expensive either.
