I just switched from creatine monohydrate to HCl and I'm loving it. My previous monohydrate was also WellBodyNaturals and also 1kg. It served me well for months. I saw great size increases and felt way better. The problem I had with it is that no matter how much water I added, it just never seemed to dissolve completely, and sometimes I would have two liters for only one teaspoon.I figured I would give HCl a try since it dissolves way better despite the numerous complaints around the internet that it tastes TERRIBLE. I can confirm that when I first opened it, I thought there was no possible way I could drink it. It smelled awful and made me cough. It was so bad that I didn't even take a sip until after I got to the gym and ran to where I was so thirsty I had to drink something.Much to my surprise, I didn't taste a thing! My secret ingredient in my mix was lemon juice. I haven't tried it with just water, but the lemon juice completely nullified the taste and the only difference that I noticed was that there wasn't a bunch of it laying at the bottom undissolved. I find that I need less to perform just as hard if not harder and the taste is a non-issue in my lemon water mix.I expect this will last quite a bit longer than my previous bag of monohydrate so the ever so slight premium I paid up front will more than be absorbed, no pun intended, over the course of the next few months. This was my first attempt with a Creatine other than Monohydrate. I love Creatine Monohydrate but I seem to be one of the 10-20% of its users that experiences bloating, stomach discomfort/ irritation, and water rentension (I really don't think it's a myth, I look smoother and more puffy when taking Monohydrate even though my diet has the same calories and macros as before taking it). Some of these reviewers are making the taste out to be a near death experience but in my opinion they need to relax. Just give it some time. My only complaint is how it tastes with water. Pretty much makes it undrinkable and makes my tongue feel all weird. But, that shouldn't cause you to turn away just yet. What I recommend is to drink it with a sports drink or juice, as these work better anyway. Drinking the Creatine with these drinks not only makes the HCL taste a lot better, it actually helps your body absorb the Creatine quicker than water. Especially with juice as it creates an Insulin spike which helps with absorption.I would definitely recommend this product, just watch out for the taste with water.
