Carb "cleaning" isn't worth it. Just replace it with this!
I've owned many scooters, and have avoided buying many scooters that are used. Well, I went and bought an older Tao Tao 50cc. Nothing fancy, not pretty to look at. Pretty much road hard, and put away wet.The thing is, it DID run when I test drove it.I loaded it into the vehicle, and when I got home, something happened. One of the most common issues with these Chinese scooters. It would start fine, but when you gave it gas? It would bog down and die. I was blown away. I've seen this problem before, and I ALWAYS avoid buying bikes that need "just a carb cleaning". For some reason, carbs made me nervous. I knew nothing about them. The problem I was facing is that i just spent the last of my money on this thing, and now it isn't running!I went ahead and bought a new carb. I tried spraying some carb cleaner into it, but the only way to really clean it right is to take the thing apart. No way. I have had terrible luck doing that.The old carb came out? The new one went right in. NO problems at all.Kicked it over a few times, crossed my fingers, tried starting it again. Vroom! It worked! It now runs better than it probably ever has run, and it all took me less than 10 minutes.It takes longer to clean a carb, with mixed results, than it does to just replace it. Less than 30$?? I'm going to start just replacing the carb on every bike I get! This one is working very well.Shipping DID get delayed, and there are NO instructions, but just pull your big boy pants up, and do it. It's not rocket science.

Quick and easy replacement for tao tao 50 scooter carburetor.
Quick and easy replacement for tao tao 50 scooter carburetor. Carburetor is easy to access by removing four bolts and one screw under seat and pulling entire seat bucket ou,t exposing carburetor. Carburetor is held in by two hose clamps only. Really simple, works great.
