Recessed bottoms catch water in dishwasher.
We have been using them for several months and they still look nice. We like the volume and I like that they aren't too big around and aren't heavy so are easy for little or arthritic fingers to hold. The disadvantage is that the bottoms are not flat so they collect lots of water in the dishwasher so it has to be dumped out and then they have to be dried or drained. They serve the purpose but I wouldn't buy them again.
