Great carrier
Why did you pick this product vs others?: I love that this carrier has a front and back option because my baby is too heavy to wear in the front for long periods now. It’s comfortable to wear and lightweight so it’s good to wear in the heat when taking walks or hikes. Baby is very comfortable and usually falls asleep in it. It’s a little tricky to get the baby in on the back, but with a little practice it gets easier. Also very convenient that it folds up into a small pouch so it’s good to travel and fits in my diaper bag.

Obsessed Boba Loyalist
This is the best baby carrier - well so is the original boba wrap! I graduated from the boba wrap to this Boba Air carrier when my son weight about 17lbs. I used the Boba wrap daily so I felt like nothing would match how wonderful, connected and comfortable that wrap made my baby and me! But hello Boba Air! I want to since from the mountain tops this is the only baby-wearing carrier you need once you graduate from the Boba wrap! I also have a Baby Bijorn I was gifted and couldn’t seem to get to the same place of comfort and connectedness that I have with my Boba wraps. My baby also would start crying after about 10 minutes in the Bijorn and I noticed when I forward-carried in the Bijorn his toes would start turning blue/purple from circulation issues. The Bijorn was also so thick, heavy and hot! This Boba Air is so light and packable! I walked for miles all over Vail, CO with my 18lb baby and he slept, ate and saw the sights. The head covering is such an amazing feature especially if you forget a hat on a sunny day or it rains! It’s also nice you can use the zipper pouch to put Kleenex, your phone or a small item. Absolutely the best item I own as a momma who loves to wear my baby - I only hope I can for as long as possible because we absolutely love this carrier! Oh and it’s great for wearing on the plane too he slept the entire time in it! Get it now, it’s worth every penny!

Lightweight yet comfortable to use
Easy to use, surprisingly comfortable (although my baby is around 20 lbs so that might change in the future) and very adjustable! Even as an XL-size person this had plenty of strap length left. I had an older model of the boba air many years ago, and this version is comfier than I remembered the old one being. Great for tossing in the diaper bag or stroller. The hood came in handy on sunny days when I needed to keep baby’s head covered.

Practical.
3 stars because I ordered BLACK but received GRAY. I think because in between my order being processed and shipped the price bumped up $20. I didn’t return it because I was so desperate to use it. Carrying my baby around on the car seat was getting uncomfortable (my stroller Britax B-Agile isn’t as small as I need it to be sometimes) and carrying her would cause pain in my lower abdomen (only 4 mos postpartum at the time). It’s a great carrier. Lightweight. Easy to clean. Easy to throw in my diaper bag. Comfortable enough that my baby falls asleep while in it and I can breastfeed her too.

Perfect for travel
Needed a compact, lightweight carrier for traveling (and light hikes around Yosemite) with my 1-year-old daughter and this was perfect for our needs! I have an ergobaby 360 that I received for my son and have worn it maybe 3 times in 3 years. It's huge, thick, not breathable, and impossible to travel with because it's so bulky. It made me despise baby carriers, but this one changed my whole outlook. The Boba Air is made out of comfortable nylon, packs into itself, weighs nothing, and is super comfortable. When I was researching compact carriers, it was between this one and the Bitybean UltraCompact, so I ordered both, and the Boba Air was by far the clear winner. The Bitybean has ZERO support and I felt like I would have to hold my baby up the whole time to be comfortable. Bitybean packed up smaller, but not enough to make a significant difference to me. I also read that this version of the Boba Air has been updated from their previous carrier to include padding on the arm straps and padding where the baby's legs fall. Thank goodness, because without it, I think it would have been super uncomfortable for both of us. I wore the carrier for several hours in 80- to 90-degree heat and never felt tired, hot, or uncomfortable. The only negative (and I think this goes for every compact carrier) is that you can't wear the baby facing out. This wasn't a huge issue for us yet (it might be in the future as she gets older), but if you have a curious kid who needs to be facing out, that will be an issue. I also tried wearing her on my back, but that position wasn't as comfortable.

Buy it!
If you are looking for a toddler carrier that is light weight, comfortable, packable, and breathable this is it! I bought for my almost 2 year old last year when we went to Yellow Stone and the Grand Tetons. It was a lifesaver and worth every penny! I added a little clip and just clipped it right on my backpack for when not in use. It’s very adjustable so it was great for both my husband and me. I would highly recommend!

Great idea, imperfect execution
I really wanted to like this. However, even after watching every instructional video I could find, I had the same issue as other reviewers - the straps will not lie flat and all the weight goes on the inside seam. I also found that the pads duh into the back of my arms under my armpit; when I tried to fix this by bringing the chest strap down, the straps then slid off my shoulders. I have not had this problem with my non-packable, normal-size carriers. It does seem like the problem with the straps could be solved if it was possible to cross them in the back but, as there is no clip on the straps, this is not possible. Like other reviewers, I also found the lack of padding on the waist strap uncomfortable, as it would not lie flat on front.

Great for travel and short hikes
I’ve been using an ergo carrier for the last year, but it’s been so bulky. I was looking for a more packable, travel-friendly carrier for my baby. We’ve flown probably every other month for the last year, and I was tired of lugging around a bulky baby carrier. This carrier really is compact, folding up nicely into its own little bag, and it’s comfortable to wear. I’ve been using it with my 13 month old and I really like how simple it is, and I feel like it gives me enough support to carry him around. It definitely does not allow for me to carry him forward facing, which is kind of a bummer. I was hoping I could just *make it work* but it really doesn’t. The bottom is so scooped it’s like a stiff seat that won’t bend well and allow them to forward face it just doesn’t work. Granted, this product says it’s not designed for forward facing so I kind of expected that. I still think it’s a great carrier. I mainly use this for travel and stashing it for hiking, quick grocery runs, so I always have a carrier with me if I need it. I love I can throw this in my bag and always have a carrier with me. Can’t do that with my ergo.
