Poppy and Father Bell after the wedding!
I love seeing what happens to Poppy and Father Bell! Must read Priest first to have a true understanding of them before marriage! Lots of spicy scenes and a relatable story line!

Pretty good
May contain spoilersReview: I read this book well after I had finished the main three books in this series and this book can definitely be read after but the timeline will just be a little off. I’m honestly glad I read this book after I had finished the series because I had a really hard time not hating Tyler for 70% of this book. I was excited when I started this book since I really felt like the ending of Priest was just missing so much and I am glad that the conflict was realistic but Tyler was just super toxic for most of the story and tried to fix his marriage with sex and nothing more. However, the groveling in this book and then ending were top tier which is why I rated it as high as I did. Sierra Simmone writes very flawed characters that we are relatable because everyone goes through seasons in their life when they aren’t the best so I did appreciate that aspect of the story but overall poor Poppy deserved better for longer.Likes: Realistic conflict, flawed characters, both personal and relationship issues, actual groveling period that made me forgive Tyler (even though I wanted to yell at him)Dislikes: SOOOO much conflict it almost felt like nothing was going right until the end, Tyler trying to fix his marriage just using sex (at least until the end)Tropes: marriage on the rocks, forbidden romance, dom x sub

The story of the now Mr. And Mrs. Bell continues!
Despite this book being smaller than the first book Priest, It had a chokehold on me until I finished it. I loved reading about Tyler and Poppy Bell as they are married and dealing with new struggles than we last saw them. The end of the book had me in tears but the epilogue brought me peace once again. 100% would recommend!

Tyler Bell…husband…no longer man of the collar
You knew him as the Catholic Priest who chose Poppy over priesthood. He claims he failed at being a priest and now he questions himself as a husband. It’s taken three years of marriage for jealousy to read it’s ugly head. But that’s not the only human quality plaguing his thoughts. Sierra Simone didn’t waste anytime getting down and dirty. Afterall, it’s Tyler and Poppy at there best. Sex is what connected them and sex is what will keep them together. Sex is the bond. Yet, Tyler still has conflicting thoughts between God and sex. There’s no shortage on the sex scenes. Every chapter covered every type of sexual activity imaginable. Eventhough, Tyler is no longer Father Bell Hid is in his heart. He still prays and attends mass. Living life as Tyler has been adjustment not just for him but Poppy as well. The fun was reading all the different ways Sierra Simone could factor religion into Tyler’s life whether in reference to sex, family, life, or Poppy. Everything revolves around sex and religion with these two.Sierra Simone knows her way around Catholicism. It’s evident in her writing voice. There’s no disputing she knows her religion. While this story wasn’t as forbidden or taboo as the first book it was nice to get a quick read updating fans on where Tyler and Poppy are at in there three year marriage.

Must Read Left-Hand Worthy Favorite
Oh sweet baby jesus. Tyler and Poppy are back, you guys! My heart and my left-hand could hardly keep up!Sierra Simone has an immeasurable gift whether she’s writing contemporary or historical, and her characters find their way into the deepest part of you. Your basest desires and thoughts can’t hide when a Simone book is in your hands because she brings every emotion to the forefront. It’s fitting she decided to write stories involving theology because reading her books is like a religious experience for me. I’d happily start a religion, or more likely a cult, to honor Ms. Simone.Midnight Mass starts about three years after the ending of Priest. Tyler is pursuing his PhD in theological studies, and Poppy has been working towards building her dance studio and foundation. They are both exceptionally busy and the day-to-day reality of life has affected them the same way it affects all of us. There’s not enough time in the day to get their work done, let alone spend quality time together. But they are Father Bell and Poppy for pete’s sake! The hottest, s3xiest, most depraved couple I know. If these two can’t make it through these daily struggles then the rest of us are doomed. But like a good little lamb, I persevered and kept the faith that everything would work out. Along with their own struggles, there were outside forces and influences that kept me guessing at the path of the plot.Tyler isn’t perfect. Shocking, I know! (Don’t worry, Tyler, you’re perfect to me.) He’s a fallible human being with the same jealousies and concerns that we all have. I love how he continually tries so hard to be a better man. And while Tyler struggles, Poppy may darn well be perfect. She’s a goddess and one of my favorite heroines of all time. Her candor and wit and compassion and general smoldering make her a bona fide leading lady.Listen. Sometimes it’s easier to use intimacy to push our problems away instead of talking through them … and I’m not sorry about it, but what happens when they decide it’s time to hash it out and a few rough strokes and licks from the magnificent Tyler Bell aren’t going to be enough for them? A big theme in this installment is guilt and forgiveness. Can Tyler forgive himself and Poppy for his leaving the church? What happens when you believe your religious calling is the most significant part of your life and you feel lost without it even if you willingly gave it up to be with the woman you love? How does Poppy handle her own guilt in relation to that? Her husband gave up his clergy for her. That’s a big pill to swallow. I have so much love for these characters and their struggles.Perhaps the thing I love most about Poppy and Tyler apart from all left-hand worthy s3x is their spiritual connection. When they got together in Priest it wasn’t just a physical attraction and their relationship is based on so much more than s3x. For me, the s3x is just this delicious bonus of I-can-never-get-enough-need-more-right-now perfect kind of kinky debasement that I love! I read a lot of erotica and it’s hard to pick just one favorite but let me tell you, Ms. Simone’s s3x scenes are the top of the line, hottest, dirtiest, filthy kind of s3x there is. You need these books in your life. Trust. If you loved Priest, you will love Midnight Mass all the more. We get to grow with Tyler and Poppy. There are a few delicate topics in this book and Ms. Simone handles them with the utmost care. This series is definitely going on the all time favorites’ list. Go 1-click this deliciously erotic beautiful story of love, lust, redemption, trust, and faith.P.S. I want to read Tyler’s dissertation. So Sierra, if you could please write that up in your free time and send it on over, that’d be greatly appreciated. For an erotica book to get me interested in theology? That’s other level writing right there, y’all.

4 starts because I was captured
I got so frustrated reading this book, dumb choice after dumb choice. But that's why I gave it 4 stars, I was obviously invested. Therefore it was good writing but hot damn did I not agree with like any of the characters choices!

Great read!
I read Priest, Saint, and Sinner prior to this one and am so happy I decided to get this as I felt there was so much left unsaid in Priest and I wanted to know more about Poppy and Tyler's relationship!!Btw...shipping wasn't the greatest...one of the corners had been bent back and then looked to be attempted to be put back but now there will always be that undeniable crease on the back cover 😢

Wow just wow
This book made me feel so many things and not all in my pants (but definitely some there too). I loved the first book so much for its passion but this book sits right in my heart. It's real, it's honest & so good.

nice
You have to read this novella after you read Priest, the first book in the series. Like, don't even try reading this as a standalone, you will be super confused.

Stunning, Sierra never deceives
I adored Priest (the 1st book of the series) and I found this book amazing. I read it in one day and loved every word of it. The vulnerability of Tyler along with Poppy's new life with him, oh this is just perfect. Very spicy 🌶🌶🌶🌶 parts, angst, jealousy, you have it all in 100 and something pages. Totally recommend
