Devialet Dione is good quality.
Devialet Dione – Effortless Setup, Incredible Sound Setup took less than ten minutes. Plug in HDMI-eARC, open the Devialet app, follow a few prompts, and it calibrates itself perfectly to the room. Pairing via Bluetooth and AirPlay2 was instant—no dropouts, no frustration. The sound is phenomenal: clear vocals, tight bass, and cinematic depth that fills the room without needing a subwoofer. Build quality is first-class, and switching between TV and phone audio happens automatically. If you want premium sound with zero setup hassle, this is it.

the best stand alone sound bar but not perfect
I have the Bose sound bar 900, and have been enjoying it. However i have always wondered about the Devialet Dione when i saw news of it due to Devialet’s reputation. I tested the Dione and the Bose 900 and below are the pros n cons Pro: - strong bass, hands down the best for a sound bar without a dedicated subwoofer - have the best “height” for Dolby Atmos - music is very pleasing to listen to - a very beautiful piece of tech that will draw attention Cons: - too expensive even if its a very good sound bar, i have the set of the Bose 900 (sound bar, subwoofer, surround speakers) and i gotta say i like the Bose set better, the bass produced from the subwoofer is much, much, much better than the Dione - not the best for movie due to muffle dialogue compare to the Bose 900 even when both are switched to dialogue mode - very heavy and quite big if you dont have a tv stand dedicated for tv and sound bar - lack EQ options, cannot change anything like bass or tremble except for volume up n down - volume overall isnt as loud as Bose 900 (i tested with the Bose that didnt have subwoofer and speakers attached to it just to be fair) so overall, $2500 for a single sound bar is a rather hefty price, the set of Bose 900 or Sonos Arc can definitely bring you a more immersive experience (at the same price) than the Dione even if they are not as good for Dolby Atmos performance. however dont write the Dione off just yet, we all have different taste and needs when it comes to sound bar. the Dione isnt a one size fits all, i recommend trying it out for yourself. Check devialet website to see if you can have a demo test at your city.

Ultimately decided to return
I had read a lot of independent reviews and watched a lot of YouTube video reviews about this soundbar and then Prime Day rolled around and it went on sale so I decided to pull the trigger. I have to say, it almost felt like it was so hyped up that maybe the bar was too high and it just didn’t deliver. If nothing else, it had the volume - you don’t have to turn it up much for it to fill a room - but it just didn’t deliver the oomph. I put on movies with great soundtracks and sound effects. I tried music. It just seemed like it never really fulfilled what I was expecting. The lack of remote wasn’t a huge deal, but I do wish there was a way to set the sound bar to not come on with the TV as I only like the sound bar or external sound for movies and/or music. If I’m watching everyday TV I don’t feel like most of what I watch benefits from the sound bar much. Overall, because I felt underwhelmed by the performance I ended up returning it.

Simply do not buy. Don’t waste your time.
By far my least favorite Devialet product. So there’s a static sound when you turn up the volume past 50 percent while listening to 5.1.2. It’s the bass. Stereo works just fine. It’s just the center speaker that’s the issue. I bought this just for all in one feature. I have a full theater room which allows me to watch films at max volume and this just doesn’t cut it. I’m glad I have not designed my layout and cabinets for my theater room yet. It worked well since I purchased it and loved it. But randomly it stopped working the way I wanted it to a few days ago. I just tested multiple hmdi cables, including hdmi 2.1, optical, AirPlay, Bluetooth, etc, and reset it multiple times. Still no solution. I looked into other threads and found someone else having this same issue. I may have gotten a defective one. I will be returning this immediately and getting a different but reliable system.

Perfect sound and amazing build quality
I bought this sound bar as a replacement for my Vizio Elevate. What made me want to buy this sound bar is the fact that it’s an all in one, I’m tired of moving my furniture and placing a giant subwoofer and side speakers to get a full immersive sound. This all in one sound bar has the same immersion I’m used to in a high quality heavy form factor. You’d think the heavy weight would be a downside but it’s not, it does not shift even at full volume and full bass blasting. Amazing. One note is that I wish it had a dedicated remote control but that’s a small downside for something that just works. Setup with the app was super easy, the software update was blazing fast and I could enjoy the sound within 5 minutes of unboxing. The middle channel for dialogue is super crisp and clear, the hefty bass doesn’t overpower the other channels and no sound is overpowered. I thought it was going to be a bad thing that I couldn’t adjust the sound with an equalizer but this thing is tuned to perfection. I guess the old saying “you get what you pay for” is true, spend more get more. If you are tired of terrible sound and want an elegant hub for your sound system without all the extra installation then look no further! If you got the money then treat yourself.

Uncontrollable volume increases
The initial product was disappointing because the volume increased uncontrollably. It was very frustrating, but they stood behind their product and replaced it. The sound is very good.
