UPDATE: FEBRUARY 12, 2017- My Two Year PURA D'OR Anniversary. Don't think I have ever stayed with one product for so long. It still is working for me!!! QUICK REVIEW: This shampoo helped regrow my postmenopausal (plus recent hysterectomy) thinning hair. It has no silicones (silicones clog pores) but you might need a no silicone conditoner for detangling afterwards. Use it faithfully for at least 3 months. Take before and after pictures to see how your hair is progressing. Read my full story when you have time. It will tell you how the first year went. Also, I have just purchased and left a review for Pura D'OR Deep Moisturizing Conditioner, which pairs nicely with the shampoo especially of you have dry, curly, or hard to comb out hair. It also is my pick if you are used to regular shampoo and conditoner because it will gives hair more "slip" but does not weigh it down. If you have hair that goes flat in one day (fine and oily) then go with the regular "blue label" conditioner. I am very impressed with all of these products. I have no interest or affiliation with the manufacturer or seller. MY STORY: I was skeptical when I purchased this shampoo 3 months ago. So skeptical that I took a before and after picture to see if it was working. I had pretty full hair until I became of a certain age. Slowly I could see my hair thinning, especially in the front. I went to a dermatologist who told me there was not much I could do. I wanted to tell myself that it wasn't true but I would not only find hair all over the shower but everywhere else, too. As far as me, I shampoo daily and have for many years. This shampoo has a pleasant smell (reminds me of incense) but not overpowering or lingering. You will probably need a conditioner afterwards as it appears to be very cleansing. I have colored hair and it did not strip the color. My hair now has body, much more shine and is noticeably thicker. I think you can see that by my before and after pictures. I hope you will give it a try before you give up on your hair. SIX MONTH UPDATE: After six months my hair has stayed thicker with no hair loss. I do continue to use Pura D'or Premium at least three days a weeks. I do switch off with low poo shampoo or apple cider vinegar a few times a week also. Like many women, my hair feels dryer or oiler as the seasons and weather changes. Also, even with great products sometimes switching it up is good! By the way, it pays to stick with this shampoo exclusively for at least three months. No more shortie bangs to TRY to cover the bald spot (never works!) Any questions please ask. ONE YEAR UPDATE: I placed my first order of Pura d'or Gold Label on 1/7/2015. So, I am pretty close to using it for one year. I took a few pictures today. I don't know if I really have any improvement over the last 6 months, maybe a little. Certainly, I have much improvement over my very first picture. My hair was broken off and very sparse at least an inch or two in. My scalp looked red and a bit angry. My fine front hair is definately a little longer at this point and you can't see my scalp anymore. My hair dresser said my hair was overall a bit thicker in December. This is the first time she has said that and I ask her EVERY time!! I have gotten used to using this shampoo which has no silicones and makes your hair a bit tangled before conditioning. I was so used to the slickness of silicones that I figured that this shampoo was drying out my hair. It was not. I have learned that the silicones can build up and also lead to hairloss. So it is a reason to keep using this shampoo and conditioner or at least one that is silicone free. I do recommend trying the Pura d'or Conditioner. I’ve been using this product for several years and love how soft it makes my hair feel. From time to time I’ve tried other hair thinning shampoos but they leave my hair dry and hard to style, so I keep coming back to Pura D’Or. It’s very concentrated so lasts a long time. The scent is subtle, natural and pleasant, very homeopathic. I was prompted to buy it for my hair loss, but to be honest, I’ve been using it for so long I can’t remember exactly how effective it’s been for that. I just know it’s been my absolute favorite and I’d recommend it to anyone, even those with no hair loss issues. As an aside, they also make a companion conditioner which I apply like a leave-in after wringing the water out of my hair, before putting it up in a towel.

I’ve been using this shampoo consistently for a few weeks now, and I’ve definitely noticed less shedding in the shower and when brushing my hair. My roots feel stronger, and the volume at my crown has improved a bit—especially when I let it sit for a couple of minutes before rinsing. It has a gentle, herbal scent and a lightweight lather that doesn’t strip my hair. I pair it with a deep conditioner once a week since this formula alone isn’t super moisturizing—but for scalp health and hair strength, it’s doing the job. I’ve been using this for 3 years and my hair is so long and so thick/healthy. I get so many compliments. I used to lose a worrying amount of hair in the shower with other shampoos but this one actually feels like it prevents hair loss. and I love how it smells. Please never change the formula!

I have been using this product for years now & I wish I had befores and afters. I got this because of the ingredients & I really wanted something healthier for my hair. I also had littler bald spots where my temples were and I wanted to see if that would help my hair grow. After about 4 washs, I started seeing improvement in my little bald spots! you do have to leave it in for 2 minutes before rinsing which I didn't learn until about 3 washs in. It definitely made my hair thicker as well! I also really like the smell of it too :) definitely worth it!

FIRST USE: (first pic) This is my first wash and so far, so good! My hair feels soft, shiny, and healthy-looking right after use. I’m really excited to see how it performs over the next couple of months. My expectations: Support hair growth and Help reduce hair loss. Let’s see 👀 AFTER 1st BOTTLE: (second pics) I just finished my first bottle of this shampoo. It has a lovely scent and a nice texture, which I really enjoyed. Unfortunately, my hair didn’t show much difference, it’s still falling out the same as when I used regular store-bought shampoos, and I didn’t notice any growth. I wash my hair every other day, but by the second day my scalp gets pretty oily. It’s a nice product, but I think I’ll try a different brand to see if I get better results.🫣

I wanted to love this product. The smell was okay, but I actually loved how clean it got my hair. HOWEVER, and this is big people! I have waist-length, straight, undyed hair. I am a 39-year-old Caucasian woman, if any of you think that matters. I have been using this product for about three weeks, and this is the ONLY thing in my routine that has changed. I have noticed more and more how much my hair is shedding. I'm not just talking after a shower, which is also very bad and much more than usual, but I also mean when my hair is dry and just left down, which I do a lot because it is so long. I don't like to wear it up. I am finding it EVERYWHERE. I feel like every time I touch my hair, strands are coming out. Just standing in line at the grocery store, I pulled my hair back to put it over my shoulder and had so many strands come out in my hand. Super embarrassing. Hoping no one noticed, I twisted it up into a ball and hid it in my pocket. Do you know what pieces of hair that's over two feet long look like when you bunch them all up? Check out my picture. These are some of the bunches I've had to carry around during the day because I just had to touch my hair without even thinking of the potential consequences. I mean, who should? THERE SHOULDN'T BE ANY, but let me tell you, it makes me cry when I get to the car EVERY TIME. For all the people this has worked for, that's excellent for you. I am so happy it's working. As someone who puts much effort into maintaining long hair, I understand the importance, but for the percentage of you for whom this product has ruined your confidence because it failed, and the company probably doesn't care, I'm with you because it's happening to me. My hair feels SO MUCH thinner now than when I started, and I am so upset. I wish I had never found this product. I'm still within my return window, so that's what I am doing. I'm getting my money back, but I won't get any of my hair or my tears back for this terrible product that has ruined my hair.
