I love these thermal pants
I love these thermal pants! I only bought one pair at first, to try them out and make sure I liked them, and am now going to buy another pair. They are so warm and so comfortable! (They are threatening to replace my comfy sweatpants as my before bed lounge-around the house pants!) And they fit comfortably under my jeans (although I admit I don't wear tight jeans; not sure how they'd be in that case). I keep the thermostat in my house down pretty low (~61 F) to save on the winter heating bills, and wanted some really warm long-underwear to help me from getting chilled as I sometimes do, especially when I'm not moving around. We also live in the northeast, and have to endure some really cold (subzero) temperatures in the winter. So I wanted very warm thermals for protection against the cold in those conditions too. These have done the job perfectly. I should also add that these are comfortable around my waist (not too tight), even after washing and drying once. I am very pleased with this purchase!

Perfectly toasty
I live in New Orleans. We do not get freezing weather here, but these houses with 14 foot ceilings were not meant for cold weather, and they are hard to heat. I love my thermal wear. I now set my thermostat at 66 and I am toasty warm wearing the top and bottoms without other clothes on top. I find the fit true to size. I wear a size 16 and ordered the X-large. It isn't at all tight at the waist for me. I've even gone to the store wearing only these and a trench coat. It looks like running attire, rather than your grandma's white thermal underwear. So I'm in love, and I'm warm, and comfortable. I ordered another two sets because waiting for them to air dry was unbearable once I had found true warmth. I suspect these will pay for themselves in reduced heating costs.

perfect for cold weather
I absolutely love my duofold Expedition Weight top & bottom. When I read the reviews for the bottoms, I was a little concerned because several wrote that the waist was tight and too small for them, even tho they were thin. I am 5'2" and weigh 106 and the size small is just perfect. Not too tight in the waist at all. So depending on your weight, you can decide. For the top , I selected a medium because I want this to be a little larger , a sm. would have worked but a med. allows me to put something else under it and not feel too snug. I also wear them as outer clothing not just underwear. I love them. Soft, smooth, and keep you warm. Given the choice , that's the only clothes I would ever wear.

As the product became torn, so did I...
These are a lifesaver in a NYC winter. I can't stay inside all winter, but I need more protection than pants or a skirt can give. I wore these under my clothes as often as possible this winter. Given how much I've worn them, I'm not sure if my disappointment is warranted that they've already worn through on the thighs. At $35 each, I expected to use them for two winters, not just one. I'd still buy them again because I can't live without them!

Great material but waistband too tight!
The material is great and definetly keeps you warm. However, I would have to agree with other comments that the waistband is too tight. I ordered the medium, which says fits waist 27-28". But, I would consider going one size up the next time I order.-I went ahead and ordered a large size but still found the waist a bit snug and a bit loose around the lower part of the legs. Disappointing.

Warm!
I bought a set of these along with the Duofold Expedition Weight top. They are both thick, comfortable, soft, and warm. However, note that the waistband on these is REALLY tight. It might stretch out with some wearing, however. I am 5'1" and 110 lbs, with approximately a 26" natural waist, and I bought a MEDIUM, and it still fits rather tightly. Although I love these, I would strongly recommend you size up. They won't be too big!

Nice fit, only tight at waist
Well, this certainly keeps me warm in winter. I like it but the only complaint that I have is that it is too tight at the waist. I am not only petite, I am also very thin, and for me to say this, it really is tight. It's a thick elastic band at the waist and I tried stretching it out a little, but it keeps reverting back, so yes, very tight at waist. I wanted to try cutting it at the elastic, but that would ruin it, since it's sewn in there so well. Length is good.

Great long underwear!
Finally, a pair of long underwear that is warm and fits well! These run smaller than standard Women's sizing; I'm 5'5" and weigh 100 pounds and the small fits perfectly in length and in the waist.Update on Dec. 22, 2012: I live in Chicago and gave these long underwear a test run yesterday while I shopped outside on the Magnificent Mile. It was 20 degrees out with a North wind at 25 mph. They performed beautifully! These are warmest, coziest, best thermals I've ever owned. And the best part? I didn't get overheated when I wore them inside, which frequently occurs with heavy weight long underwear. I will be buying more of these today!
