Excellent Juicer Thats Worth The Cost
I was looking for a quality juicer that did a good job of extracting the most juice from organic produce. My previous juicer was left dripping pulp so it was not efficient at all. I specifically wanted the best juicer for celery juice as I drink it nearly daily. In my search I stumbled on the youtube channel Discount Juicers. The videos were so informative and perhaps that’s why I’ve had such an amazing experience with this juicer. I knew what to expect before it even arrived. After watching his videos I decided to take the plunge and purchase the greenstar pro. After using for less than a week a horrible grinding noise started up and I couldn’t make it stop so I returned it to amazon and had a replacement sent. I have loved almost everything about this machine. Cleaning can be slightly time consuming (about 10 minutes) but other than that it’s wonderful. Here’s a list of pros and cons but do some research and watch the videos from the above channel and see for yourself what’s good. Different juicers fit different needs.Notes: it is commercial grade and comes with a 15 year manufacturer warranty. That’s amazing. This machine is a masticating juicer which means it runs more slowly than a centrifugal juicer. But that’s the point. Instead of beating produce to a pulp it slowly grinds it to gently squeeze the juice. This means less oxidation and a more fresh nutrient dense juice. It takes about 2 minutes to juice 16 oz of celery juice and if that’s too long for a commercial setting they make plenty of centrifugal machines that will do it in 30 seconds or less.Pros:•Commercial grade with 15 year warranty•100% Stainless steel twin gears. They are work horses and since they are solid pieces there is significantly less risk of breakage (but if there is a broken gear they’ll send you a replacement right away.) The slightly less expensive version of this juicer has twin gears that are plastic on one end and stainless steel on the other. However, if you buy that model you can upgrade the gears down the road for between $100-$200 and they are worth the cost.•Included cleaning tools are fantastic! The scraper saves 20 minutes or more of cleaning once you figure out how to use it (seriously spent 30 minutes cleaning the screen the first few times and finally saw a video of how to line the scraper properly on the screen and it took about 60 seconds to clean after that).•Included accessories are also great and they have a few others you can buy to make things like homemade bread sticks which is a cool feature even if I haven’t used it yet. Multipurpose machines are wonderful and considering the cost of this one it makes it even more worthwhile to own because it’s not just a giant expensive juicer.•Pulp comes out very dry compared to a centrifugal juicer. It might be slightly damp but it’s leaps and bounds drier than anything my Breville ever gave me even after rejuicing the pulp 3 or 4 times.•Drier pulp means I spend less on produce as I get more juice out of less product.•Quality of juice is significantly better than with a centrifugal. For example: with celery juice the lighter green the better. Think of it like an apple that’s been cut and sitting out. It gets darker the more it oxidizes. The same is true with your juice. A centrifugal can spin at approximately 800 rpm. That means your produce is being exposed to that much more air at high speeds so the oxidation process increases significantly. The greenstar pro doesn’t go over 100 rpm. It “chews” the product and squeezes the juice slowly and gently in comparison.•Makes fantastic fruit sorbet. Any frozen fruit you have can go straight into the machine and it will come out looking like slightly harder soft server ice cream. It’s an amazing treat on a hot day.Cons:•Best used with hard produce. You can juice soft product but it has to be mixed with hard produce.•Cost•Cleaning can be cumbersome (takes about 10 minutes to wash and dry). I haven’t put anything in the dishwasher as it often leaves a residue and I don’t want to clean that so if your dishwasher does better than mine it probably won’t be an issue for many of the parts. Note: Again, I highly recommend you find and watch a video about how to use the included scraper to clean the screen. It’s really the best tool once you know how to use it.

"Michelin star" juicer / Reliable professional grade machine
In my opinion, based on performance, this juicer stands above the rest if you are looking for a fine masticating juicer to extract the most amount of nutrients from vegetables. I have owned several high end juicers prior and for the most part, they performed well. But none of them was providing this level of extraction. The result are vegetable juices that taste refined and potent. Assembling and cleaning is easy and takes approx. 5 minutes in total. And it is build to last a very longtime. This is a serious machine for connoisseurs and with a justified high price tag.

My $800+ mistake
Worst juicer I've ever used. The Angel juicer wasn't available so I decided to purchase this one since they'd upgraded their gears to all stainless; Initially the ends looked to be plastic. I live on a tropical island so I was excited to juice all types of fruits independently with a higher quality machine than I had in the past. You cannot do that with this juicer! The tolerance between the gears and the screen is too great so it can't produce enough pressure to extract the juice through the screen and turns the barrel into a soupy mess, especially soft fruit. Removing the end adjustment screw doesn't help and purchasing their soft fruit screw is a waste. Aditionally, juice leaked through the connection points and made a mess. Once you got to that point you had to pull it apart and try to save as much as fruit as possible. I contacted the manufacturer and asked what the distance between the gear and screen was supposed to be thinking mine may be broken. She was a broken record repeating to me that I needed to alternate between soft and hard fruit. After explaining I'm trying to make coconut milk & cream, passionfruit juice, mango puree, etc., and not mixed juices, she repeated the hard and soft alternating method but never specifically said it couldn't do what I needed. Few things ship direct to my island so we were forced to use a freight forwarder. I can't return through them so I had to pay an additional $84 to return this worthless machine. They have refunded my money, minus shipping, but claim they're still waiting for my return even with delivery proof from USPS. Very frustrating. Update: Amazon finally found the juicer in some returns warehouse and removed the threat of charging me again. The real and original Angel juicer (not super angel juicer which was only a US distributor) is now available so spend the extra money and buy that one. I can't stress this enough. If you're planning on doing any serious juicing of hard or soft fruit, grinding or puree to make nut butter, coconut cream or similar products please do not waste your time on this product. We've had the Angel Juicer now for over a year and it's worth every dollar.

A high-quality juicer Worth the extra money for extended juice freshness
The green star juicer makes excellent juice that stays fresh in the refrigerator for a couple of days. The machine is a little difficult to assemble at first. Once you get used to it then it’s a bit easier to assemble. It takes up quite a bit of storage space, so be prepared to devote a shelf in your kitchen cabinets to it. I haven’t tried the peanut butter attachments yet, but the ability to make fresh nut butter is a nice feature. It’s a bit more expensive than some of the other juicers out there, but it’s worth the extra money because the cold press feature allows the juice to stay fresh longer in the refrigerator.
