So surprised! I'd been having problems with just this extremely thick seeming mucus that was causing me to cough--a lot!--and even sometimes to choke while eating. And of course it affected my breathing which was just so frustrating because I'm a very active outdoors kind of person. So aggravating to be involved in physical activities that you enjoy and dealing with this constant cough and tickle in the throat.And this had been going on for months. I'd tried several different things before taking a chance on the salt inhaler. I didn't really look for it to help much but kept coming back to it and reading about it. Finally broke down and bought one.It came in and I sat down that night and started using it the way the directions said. Let me tell you, rarely have I felt so stupid. I mean, you can't even taste the salt. So I'm just sitting there doing this stupid thing and thinking I've been suckered for certain but determined to give it a fair shot because I really don't like the feeling of being suckered. So hoping I was wrong about that, I decided to puff this nothing pipe faithfully for a week or two just in case it might have some little positive effect before tossing it as a loss.So anyway, the next morning after receiving the inhaler I was in the floor doing my normal morning workout and my husband walks in and sits down with his coffee. After a few minutes he asked me if I could tell any difference in my breathing. I was like...wait. Oh wow...I sat up and told him I hadn't even thought about it that morning until he said something but then realized that I wasn't coughing , my throat wasn't tickling and my breathing was easy.I was so pleasantly surprised. Still can't believe it. It's been less than a week since and I'm walking on cloud nine because the problem I'd been having is no more.Would not call it a miracle product because I don't really believe in those but for me personally it is a God send. I can now do my workouts, two mile daily walks and ride my horses again without sounding like I have asthma or a serious smoker's cough...pretty amazing to me.Definitely recommend but can't say how well or how quickly it might help someone with a known serious lung condition. I just know that it will get rid of an excess mucus kind of post nasal drip problem in a hurry.

Folks,The up side of this product for me is huge. This is a really great yet simple product if you use it correctly each day.As we all know salt is an enemy of bacteria and can either kill them or prevent their growth. Saline has been recommended for nasal application to prevent bad bacteria from setting up shop in your sinuses. So too, these salt ions that are inhaled into your lungs have micro levels of salt and minerals that bacteria do not like either. The instructions say use for 15 minutes a day. But what is great is that you can break that up into three five minute applications. Check out the You Tube by Dr. Oz (Salt Pipe). You can barely notice a small salt taste as you breath in to your lungs and exhale through your nose.I often get Bronchitis coming into winter. I was singing in Christmas productionin December 2013 and weeks before noticed that my lung capacity was low, (couldn't hold my notes for long) and felt an itch in my lungs. I had a mist machine in my bedroom and helped a bit but then I began coughing up phlegm violently and my doctor diagnosed Bronchitis and put me on an inhaler and prescribed antibiotics. That solved the problem but then there was no prevention to keep it from reoccurring, at least seasonally.So I went into research mode and found out about salt therapy, salt caves etc. This salt inhaler does appear to work, at least for me. Just got to stay true to it for it to work they say, not always an easy thing but the price is fantastic and it has helped me breath easier in a short time. I will report again as I find more info and use the product more. Note: American Lung Association has not studied salt inhalation therapy according to internet sources and has no data to support its efficacy, but does not believe there is any harm.

holes in device are .112" to .115"/2.8mm to 2.9mm, large enough for salt chunks to fall out continuously during use. be nice if it held the salt longer with smaller holes
