Great Taste But the Packaging Could Improve.
I have purchased these chocolate candies numerous times. I eat them personally by the package full. They taste great. However, instead of raising the price, the package is only partly filled. I'd say it is only 5/6ths filled. This is wasteful b/c the package is partly empty. Shipping is usually by weight so you are not paying for the full weight of shipping and only receiving 5/6th of the candy. I think this kind of packaging should be against the law b/c it adds to the volume in trucks. It uses paper, aluminum foil and cardboard not needed for the protection of the candy. It unnecessarily uses resources. The taste is still great however.

Delicious and Expensive
Delicious chocolate, just too danged expensive for frequent purchase. I’ve purchased when price was lower. Imported so I suppose tariffs could effect price?

European Chocolate! Dark and creamy.
We picked up a tube of these in Europe on our last trip and really enjoyed them. Very happy to find the exact same product on Amazon for a very reasonable price. We went a little overboard with our chocolate shopping, so I actually gave away a few tubes of these. If you like dark, rich chocolate, you’ll love these.

Droste is gone - forever, but lives on in name
I think whatever company bought the remnants of Droste is prducing the chocolate using Droste's original recipe, as I do enjoy the dark chocolate, and be it my imagination or not, it's better than Tobler, which I find too creamy. The dark Drostte pastilles offer intense dark chocolate flavor. They garnered unmatched clamor and approval from all my grandchildren. They've announced these are their favorite chocolates, so I need to keep them on hand. The packages make perfect sized gifts to hand them either upon arrival or after supper, and dark chocolate gains Mom and Dad's approval.

Almost expired
Sadly, these arrived very shortly before their best-befor-date. I could tell by the stale taste and the faded color. I will update the review if the seller reaches out to fix the issue. The extra dark I ordered was fine.
