These types of tops are different from bearing tops, whose tips rotate in either one or two directions. Fixed tip types spin longer on the ground and are better for battle play. They can perform wire-walker tricks and are good for learning regeneration tricks, but are not as good for learning tricks like the corkscrew or gyro flop. These tops are low maintenance (no bearings to maintain) and the tips can come in metal or plastic.
