Needs to be more northwest oriented

I would like to express my deepest gratitude to this author for facilitating my obsession so well. The images are crystal clear for identification, and detailed explanation of each plant's benefits, and what parts to process, has been a huge help. I bought one for my oldest daughter for her birthday and she LOVES it too.

This book is very well written. Very informative. Pics are large and clears. This is one of the best books on plants that I have found.

I just LOVE the way this book was written and the way the author conveys his kinship to the plant kingdom. His introduction and explanation of how he got interested in the subject, and his description of his many years of working with medicinal herbs and wildcrafting, is reminicsent of own interest and enthusiasm. I like the focus first and foremost on proper identification and the importance of having a minimal impact on the plants environments, when wildcrafting. I also am happy to find a book with GOOD pictures and descriptions of what the plants really look like, in addition to describing the habitats where they might be found. Many of the herb books I have do not have pictures or drawings that really help identify the plants I am interested in finding. I am carefully reading this book from cover to cover, and taking notes and doing drawings of my own, all BEFORE I venture out into the woods to try my hand at wild crafting. I am glad to be getting back to my "roots", and regaining the knowledge, that was more commonplace years and years ago, of what the plants all around us can do for our bodies and spirits!

I live in BC I find it hard to get books that come up into my part of the world it generally stops before us. Thankfully this one actually has loads of things I have seen around me and there are things I need to look up to see if it's up here but if not some of it I'm sure I can buy to try, but all on all its a great book I'm glad I bought it. This book has lots of info that isnt hard to understand so anyone can use this book

Fantastic book. Bought it on Kindle, will be purchasing in hard cover. Great for beginner foragers like me. Specific to the Pacific Northwest, it's helped me identify most of my back yard in one book.Wonderful gift idea for kids and adults.Beautiful pictures with great explanations, plant/leaf/tree identification charts, proper harvesting practices, medicine prepping, seasonal plant harvesting charts and more.Highly suggest if you love playing in the forest or do alot of camping. Keeps the kids busy!

The descriptions are phenomenal, the photos are clear and accurate. Highly recommend this book.
