You never know what kind of quality you're going to get with a toy like this. I'm happy to say the quality of this one is very good. It seems as sturdy as you could expect given the design. The wheels and base are very solid. The only negative imo is the method used to attache the wheels. Each wheel has a ring with teeth on the inside which you hammer onto the shaft. This scrapes off the paint and creates a potential rust spot. the wheels are also not removable. Still a great product though.

Great toy! Grandkids love it. Hours of fun

This gift was for my birthday boy (turning 3), who is in all things construction. He got the hang of it right away. I chose the model with the wheels, a bit pricier but so much easier to move around and more versatile. There is a little space between the back wheels under the seat where I attached a little box for his "tools" or a bucket or "hard hat" whatever. I chose the Big Dig for its known track record, the toy seems sturdy enough (time will tell), one just has to watch for the screws maybe getting loose with time. The wheels are plenty wide. I took one star off for the instructions that came with the toy however, as I found the pictures confusing and the instructions not detailed enough. It is not hard to put together and does not take long, I just would have appreciated better guidance. Tips: 1) the 2 long prongs stemming from the seat go in-between the prongs from the handle and the bucket; 2) you will need the little cardboard like tube to put together the wheels. The washer with the "teeth" does not seem to fit at first, but you really need to place the tube on it and hammer the tube that will then push that washer down in its proper place. I hope these tips are helpful to you all!

We as a family loved this! It came in with all the pieces and was very easy to assemble, it looks small but can hold my husband and I, it looks identical to what is seen in the picture. Very light weight and easy to move from place to place. It was definitely worth every dollar spent! Perfect idea for a little boys/girls Christmas present.

Perfect for 3 year olds

This went together well. I thought the picture instructions were clear enough. As someone else mentioned, the bottom of the seat does not have pre-drilled holes for the screws. I was able to screw into the seat with a regular screwdriver and just a little extra force, I did not have to drill holes first.The kids love digging with it. My son that just turned 3 is on the short side for sitting on the seat but is still able to use it just fine, he's average height.I didn't put the stickers on as I don't think they'd last outside and it looks fine without them.I would buy this again
